Shandoah River Cabin
A cozy cabin with riverfront view good for fishing, camp fire, and a cozy hammock for relaxation. Setup for year round use with a gas fire place for winter heat and, of course A/C's for summer comfort. Large sliding glass doors facing the river bring in cool breezes. Sitting on the historical Shenandoah River in, also historical, Shenandoah County there is so much to see and explore with many caverns, wineries and breweries. For Civil War buffs, there is the New Market Battleground nearby. Ghost tours tours there and in the Crystal Cavern in Strasburg are popular attractions.

Everything was as advertised or better. River views right from the deck. Great location for our hiking trip in GW forest. Would definitely stay here again.
The cabin is exactly as advertised and we are grateful for the 2 nights we were able to spend there. The firepit by the river and river itself were perfect! Thank you!
The setting of the cabin is lovely - just across the road from the river. We were busy elsewhere during the day so we didn't get to enjoy the view as much as we would have liked to. In the summer, it's likely wonderful.
The cabin is older and not much has been updated, but it is nicely kept and clean. This is not a fancy place, but was a great place for a home base for hiking in the area.
Wonderful location right on the river. The cabin was fully outfitted and maintained well. Easy to access and find. Was the perfect escape. Enjoyed the river and the surrounding area. Had all appropriate cookware provided in addition to a gas grill. Very clear at night and could see all the stars. Didn’t see another soul over the two nights. We’re considering coming back to this location.
The home was conveniently located within a short drive to restaurants and a Food lion and the house itself was clean and comfortable. The communication with the host was fantastic with any last minute questions we had and a neighbor even stopped by to warn us a bear was roaming around the night before! Now, the bed is VERY tall and being on the shorter side it was comical getting out of the bed. The house was nicely stocked with anything you may need to cook with and things to generally make your stay enjoyable.
Loved the simplicity of the cabin and the river view was incredible. I appreciated not having the linens on the beds, as I strip them when I arrive places to put my own on. The fragrances and chemicals in the laundry cleaners are highly toxic and I try to avoid them if possible. I also appreciated there was no television or microwave as these things are not necessary to a peaceful stay. Wonderful and would love to book again!

Loved Loved Loved , it was a honor to be able to stay in this quaint cabin. Definitely plan on returning. I didnt think that we would be able to afford a vacation get away. But this blessed us with a peaceful getaway ♥️ Thank you so much for allowing us this pleasure.
Sincerely Rob and Cyndi
Great place to stay for two or three days. Only had one full day there. Morning hike to Campground and around Edinburgh in the morning. Afternoon ised fire pit by the river watched a football game on the tablet we brought. Roasted a few marshmallows.
Generous check in and check out times, very good high-speed Internet.
If you are looking for peace and nature, this is the right place. It is a very cozy cabin, perfect for 4 or 5 people. You can listen to the birds singing, how the river water flows and even go inside. You can also sit by the river and just enjoy. We even saw an eagle! Go prepared because if you want to have fun, you can bring your games and play in the big yard next to the house. It is for this and many other things that I really recommend this place. Many thanks for this unique experience!
