Great stay
Check in process was very smooth. Communication with property management to assure the quality of the stay was appreciated. The property pictures accurately reflected the condition of the house which was clean and comfortable. The quiet neighborhood was a great place to unwind. Really enjoyed the deck overlooking the water. We were especially luck to view the Northern lights during our stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend to other travelers.

The place was neat as a pin and management was in constant communication prior and during our stay to make sure we found the place ok and to make sure we had everything we needed. Enjoyed the lovely birdsong and beautiful sunsets out on the unit’s balcony.

Good overall option, things to consider.
The location was awesome, right on a main road to many cool Maine towns. The condo looks nice, but it seemed they cut corners. For example, the floors were not installed perfectly and you can feel a lot of flex (as if installed over unlevel substrate). But, we would not stay again. Things we loved: Location (again). It was a quiet, private location with a spacious parking area. The beds were SOOOO comfortable, and the bedding was so nice. It was nice to be able to text concerns and get fairly immediate responses. Things we did not like so much: It is listed for 6 people and we had 3, but they give you only ONE roll of toilet paper (instead of the industry standard of 2-3). The bathroom vanity is TINY, not even enough room for one person to lay out their items, and there is nothing else nearby to hang or place items. For a fairly large space, the shower and vanity was way too small. Our 6 foot son was unable to stand in the shower with the jets hitting the top of his head and it was cramped for all of us to move around. The kitchen sink is not even the size of a usual bathroom sink yet they installed a powerful large kitchen faucet so water goes everywhere (including on you). We initially thought everything was really clean, but as we spent a day we found rice and something sticky inside one of the beds (makes you go hmmmmm). The liners in the drawers were dirty so I had to turn them over. And, there was food crumbs and gross stuff inside the couch cushions. So, if you just don't look very closely, it is clean. The TV has a sound limit that is so severe you cannot even hear it when sitting on the couch. However, we found a work around if you use the volume slider on the side of the TV in addition to the remote. Initially, we found a tick on the wall when we arrived, but that can happen so we told them not to worry about it. As time went on, we found quite a few critters (spiders, green bugs of sort...maybe that is normal for Maine). Much of the reason I chose this was for the water view, However, they have blinds that are secured to the bottom of the patio doors, so you really cannot enjoy the view at all. Even with the blinds open, it is difficult to see, but you don't want to open the doors because there are no screens and we were using air conditioning. Lastly, do not rent this if you have family nearby and want them to visit. You have only two spots (fine) but there is nowhere close where family can park.

Good location
Our trip was for a large family gathering, so location was of primary importance, and this place worked well for that. But we spent all our time out or at the places other relatives were staying. Since it was a cold, rainy, and foggy (4-day) weekend, there was lots of home time (puzzles, books, conversation, just being together), and there was nothing remotely tempting about inviting another family member to our place for a meal or an afternoon or an evening of conversation and family remembering. The furniture was comfortable but spare, no homey-ness about it. No puzzles, no games, nothing cozy there. My adult son and I were the primary occupants, with a cousin who was an extra overnight visitor. There wasn’t even a pillowcase for the one pillow for the sofa bed, though there were sheets and blankets. Considering it says it accommodates 6 people and we had 2-3, it was bare-bones. It is minimally furnished, with just enough to get by, more like a hotel suite than a home, but without any of the services that come with a hotel. If we had wanted a hotel, we would have booked that, not a vacation home. The things that were there were comfortable, just not inviting. Since we were there for family time, we were disappointed. But if you anticipate spending all your time out and about, it might work fine for you. There is no dishwasher and no laundry facilities there, which we didn’t expect (having read the listing carefully), but did miss, due to the weather we encountered.

WiFi is very unreliable.
The space is nice with a nice view. The decor is kitschy but not offensive. The kitchen was adequately equipped and the furniture was okay. The heat worked well, which was important because there was a pretty serious cold snap the 1st few days we were there. One problem was that the french doors in the living room looking out onto the back deck did not seal well at all and there was a serious jet of frigid air coming in the gap until I stuffed it with wadded up toilet paper. That definitely needs to be fixed! Another issue was that it didn’t seem like it had been vacuumed. There was hair everywhere. And then finally, there was the WiFi issue. I needed to work remotely during the day and my daughter was taking online classes and the WiFi just wasn’t up to it. It disconnected frequently and didn’t seem to have adequate bandwidth when it was connected. People expecting to be blue to rely on it for work or school should be aware that they may be better off using their smartphone as a hotspot (as long as it’s not AT&T, which has horrible coverage there).

Edgecomb Stay
This is a lovely property. It had both the feeling of seclusion with the ease of access and central location. The property is very spacious and well dwcorated, with very comfortable beds. Wish the kitchen were a tad larger, as we cooked a lot d/t staying away from restaurants for fear of COVID. The kitchen sink is tiny and washing dishes was a challenge, but doable. A minimal complaint overall. Loved having temperature control in every room. We were all over the coast of Maine during our week long stay, driving nearly 1000 miles! We saw 12 lighthouses, antique shops, pottery shops, Acadia Park, beaches and had several lobster rolls. Do NOT miss Reds Eats if visiting and have a love for lobster rolls! Worth the long stand in line. Smiled every time we crossed the bridge to Wiscassett. It was such a charming view. Maine is glorious and staying here only added to our pleasure.

The apartment was exactly as shown online; if anything the view is nicer than in the photographs and the rooms larger! It was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and linens were first-rate. The beds were really comfortable. We loved it and would return any time.

Quick trip to Maine
The property was as described and the pictures were accurate. There is little to no noise buffer between the units, which was exacerbated by a door between our unit C and unit D. The door is most likely to accommodate large groups or two vacationing families. There is about a 2 inch gap on the bottom of the door which allows smells and noise to enter the unit. It was not a bother to us, but if you're sensitive to those things, then this might not be the place for you. Perhaps a sweep attached to the bottom of the door and some weatherstripping around the door frame would help prevent that from happening. All in all, a nicely appointed, clean unit. Close to Boothbay Harbor, Rockland and Rockport. Check out the Boothbay Region Land Trust for some great places to hike. River Grill in Damaroscotta and Montsweag Farm, in or just outside Wiscasset, restaurants are both recommended.

It was a great place. The only downside I would say was there was not separation between units on the deck overlooking the water. A simple little framed wall would do wonders. Would offer a bit of privacy. Other than that, it was great!
