A great, no frills stay
This was perfect for our purposes: a few days with my husband with extended family staying both in town and closer to south beach. Very cute place, very typical beach cottage and the in window AC was a nice touch! It was also awesome to have the big yard and outdoor deck to sit on with friends and family. The living room, etc were cute but we did not use them. A few issues: the blinds are still see through as others have mentioned and the door from the bedroom to the outdoors doesn't really lock (not a huge problem in Edgartown). Finally, Vacasa's late check out fees are high ($95 for four hours). May avoid booking with Vacasa in the future as a result.

Great location
Continuity is an issue with management. You never get the same person (or answer) twice. Space was comfortable and clean. End of the season, only 1 spoon and one dinner knife. Guests need to bring toilet paper, coffee filters or keurig cups and paper towels. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice location, clean and tidy
This cottage was perfect for three of us staying over for a few nights. The kitchen was small and supplies were limited, but we didn’t cook so it wasn’t a problem for us.

Great location
Cute, small space. Great location! Clearly some of the past problems listed in the reviews have been addressed, but others have not been. The internet worked fine. The mattress on the pull-out sofa is unusable--either the mattress or the whole sofa needs to be replaced! The bathroom cabinet still does not open -- it hits the light fixture when you try to open it. The shades on the windows are nice, but there is only one privacy shade in the bedroom (the other window needs one, too). The bathroom door did not stay closed, but when we contacted management, they sent someone over right away to fix it. Last thing: needs a coffee pot! Maybe everyone in Edgartown goes out for coffee, but to me a coffee pot is essential!

Great location but it requires significant updates
We spent 6 nights at this cottage. The location is great. The entrance/living room looks nice. The countertop and refrigerator in the kitchenette were clean. The bathroom was clean, the bedsheets and pillows and towels were clean. The outdoor table and chairs and the outdoor shower were a great addition. I'm sorry to say that the cottage requires significant updates. We were not able to open the sofa bed in the living room and saw a lot of spiderwebs so probably it hasn’t been used and cleaned for a long time. We decided to find an airbed and sleep on that. The WIFI was not working when we arrived on Saturday. Property manager was responsive but it took a couple of days to fix it. We’ve been offered a refund for the disservice. The window AC units are held together with duct tape. The heating system around the house is old and rusty and falling apart in the kitchen. The kitchenette needs some attention. I’ve visited during COVID so we didn’t go to restaurants. The plates, glasses, utensils, bowls should be washed. I’ve found a dead cockroach in a baking dish. The cabinets and drawers in the kitchen are very hard to open (sticky because not cleaned or just a poor design?). The trash can with foot pedal is broken and the lid has a crack! The bathroom cabinet is VERY OLD. I couldn’t open it. The curtains in the bathroom are too short so you don’t have privacy in the bathroom if someone is on the deck. The heater in the bathroom is rusty. In the bedroom, there are stains on the ceiling. Two shades are broken and need to be replaced. Nice size closet in the bedroom but full of old stained pillows, blankets, and all different hangers and maybe a beach towel. We didn’t touch anything. When I’ve opened it, there was an ironing board opened with iron and a table lamp on it! Why do you keep a lamp on the iron table in the closet? I don’t mind old houses but I feel that nobody (owner or property manager) is taking care of this cottage. Minor suggestions: In the summer, make sure you turn on the AC before the arrival of your guests. Provide cleaning supplies. Only a travel-size dish detergent and dishwasher pods (but there is no dishwasher!). Nothing else. Not a broom and dustpan. Please provide a wine opener. I couldn’t open a bottle wine with the pocket corkscrew. The couch should be cleaned underneath, as well as all the windows. The mirror in the bathroom can’t be opened because the it hits the light bulbs.

Great location.. a little worn
The location was great. However, the apartment is a little worn and could use a good coat of paint and scrubbing. Also, the internet only worked sporadically, which was troublesome because my wife and I had to work remotely while we were there. In any case, we would definitely rent it again because of the location.

it was cozy.
We originally stayed in the one-bedroom, then needed to extend and moved to the two bedroom. Location is ideal. Units, especially one-bedroom, could use some freshening/updating. For example, the bathroom door didn't stay closed. However, they were comfortable and met our needs.

Can't beat the location!
We just returned from a weekend in Edgartown and were very pleased with the size, comfort & location of this property. Less than a 10 minute walk from downtown and with the super convenient Katama General Store around the corner, it was easy to get around. The pictures don't even show the adorable breakfast nook, and the sunny window seat was by far my favorite spot to sit. I had asked for early checkin weeks prior via email and never heard back but we took a chance and was pleasantly surprised when we were able to check in at 2pm. I am not one to complain, but the shower was the worst part of the cottage. The mixing valve was broken, so I either could choose a freezing cold shower with no pressure or a scalding hot one. Not to mention the shower curtain was covered in mildew, something that's an easy fix, but nonetheless a disappointment. From the previous reviews, I knew that the accommodations were going to have a stuffy smell to it and that was accurate. You got used to it but it was a bit overwhelming upon entering the house. Thank goodness for the space heater & extra blanket, it got down to the 30s overnight and it was freezing! All in all, I would definitely stay again & recommend it to a friend, but would hope the shower is fixed before our return. Thank you!

Dumpola
The musty odor nearly knocked you dead to start. There were no dinner plates, wine glasses, and no cooking utensils beyond a spaghetti strainer spoon. And what was the deal with the moldy ceiling in the bedroom with the streak going down the wall. Unusually hard mattress. Really, sequins on the floor and someone's leftover bag of popcorn beside the couch; no vacuum? And nearly certain death if you had to go out at night as there was no outside lighting. Only saving grace was location. And, the toilet broke. Would NEVER rent again. Run, don't look back!!!!

It was filthy
The place was filthy. There were nice droppings found in the closet (we had to call twice to get them removed), the comforters were dirty with visible stains, the floors in the bedroom were extremely dusty with strands of long hair, the WiFi kept popping off and on and the heating system was severely loud. Martha’s Vineyard was a great experience except for our stay. We asked for a discount bc of the issues and customer service stated that it wasn’t up to them. We believe we need money back because of how poor the cleanliness was. Feel free to contact me directly via my provided contact info from the booking.
