"Theona is an absolute amazing host. When you arrive there are cute litte snacks on the table with a note. The cottage smelled clean. And not a bleach clean or im trying to hide a bad smell clean. Very pleasant. We had purchased groceries on the way down so to the kitchen we went. There you will find a keurig duo. Feel free to bring grounds or pods for your morning cup of coffee. If you forget there are pods there. If you aren't a coffee drinker she also has just about every tea you can think of in the cabinet. Salt n pepper. Shampoo and soap. Hand soaps. Dish detergent. Laundry detergent. It was endless. The screened in porch was my favorite in the morning. Make a cup of coffee and go listen to the song birds before getting ready for the day. Highly recommend for a cute/quiet getaway. "

"The views of the Albemarle Sound were even better than I believed possible! The view through the glass doors from the living room (and over the back deck) was truly breathtaking. We loved sitting on the wonderful sofa looking out on the water, watching tv, napping, and generally relaxing. We also loved the beautiful tree (maple?) surrounded by the deck, as well as the pier & dock. We loved the birds (martins?) swooping over the back yard and the fabulous sunsets over the water. The house was the perfect size for us and very comfortable. It was a delightful experience and many thanks to our hosts!"

"We loved everything about our stay in Edenton, including this property. It is so charming and within walking distance of the downtown area. The owner was so helpful with detailed arrival and departure information, answered our questions quickly, and even let us know the day of arrival that the property was ready early if we wanted an earlier check in. The owners have done a great job at maintaining the character of the home while adding all the modern convenience you would want. Although we didn’t use it, the detached cottage was adorable and a great way to provide room for additional guests. I would definitely book this property again if I return to the area."

"For our return stay in Historic Edenton we chose this charming bungalow. It is conveniently located in the downtown area-walking distance to several restaurants, shops, and historical sites. The home was very clean, nicely decorated, cozy, and had all we needed for a few day stay. Bikes were available for our use. The best part of the stay was enjoying the beverage of the hour on the front porch, morning & evening; people watching and feeling the cool breeze from the River. The owner was responsive for a minor issue. The kitchen was stocked well. We will definitely come back to this property! , "

"Really enjoyed our two nights at the property. Given how the river is positioned at the property, you face pretty much directly west, which allowed us to enjoy gorgeous sunsets looking straight across the river. Just a 10-minute drive from downtown Edenton and all it has to offer (super pretty little town that sits on Albermarle Sound). Also a special shout out to our host Van Dee, who was super responsive in helping us troubleshoot accessing the streaming services after we had screwed things up! Would highly recommend."

"Weekend trip to Edenton was fantastic! The Bungalow is within walking distance to everything. We parked our car and it sat until we left. The house is extremely clean and the perfect size for a couple... more than we needed to be honest since we ate out every meal haha! Enjoyed sitting on the back porch with a bottle of wine in the evening and coffee on the front porch in the morning. Theona is a great host and communicator. She provided lots of nice touches from snacks and water to coffee pods and a memento with a personal note! The town is so quaint and history rich. We toured all that we could. There's not a lot of night life, which was fine with us but just in case that's what you're looking for! The Herringbone did have live music on Saturday night which we really enjoyed! If you're heading to Edenton, don't hesitate one second to book this place if it's available!! "

"House was sparkling clean and warm and inviting. All of the furnishings and decorations had obviously been chosen with care. Bed was comfy and towels were fluffy. Location was perfect. We walked downtown and to the waterfront. We would definitely stay there again. "
