Terribly disappointing stay.
Our stay was an extraordinarily letdown. We had high expectations, in light of previous guests' ratings and the relatively steep price for the lodging. When we arrived, we had to find someone in the restaurant to check us in--apparently, there's no front desk, even at 5 in the afternoon. Then after navigating the steep stairs, we were presented with our tiny room, with barely enough room for our two medium sized suitcases. When we turned in for the night, we found the beds to be board stiff--as if we were sleeping on the boxsprings, without a mattress. Upon further examination, we discovered our instincts were right: there was no mattress, just the boxsprings. By then, we were dressed for bed, it was after 10 and we didn't want to tromp down in our pajamas into the restaurant to see if we could upgrade our room to include a mattress. So, if your medical provider proscribes a firm sleeping surface, this is just the place for you. I will say the breakfast was fantastic and after a fitful night's sleep, I enjoyed the several cups of coffee I needed to wake up. Unfortunately, with no front desk, I could only tell our waitress about our problems with the room, which did little good at that point.

Lovely choice for a quiet weekend!!
Perfect location in the centre of this delightful little town. Make sure you book a table in the restaurant as it appears to be very popular with the locals!!!

Very european
Hotel is very European if you like true European hotels. Service great and place is very informal and right in Edam which is pretty small. Stayed there before and easy to get to local restaurants. Also easy access to Amsterdam by bus. Only 45 minutes away

Nice hotel in Edam
Enjoyed our stay with a few caveats. The hotel is very nice and feels luxurious. The front desk staff wasn't very friendly, but rather snobby. The room (we stayed in Molliere) was nice and clean, but very small. Breakfast included in the stay was great. We didn't know much about Edam when booking our stay (1 night), but just know that everything closes very early and there isn't much to do in the evening

Hotel is located in the middle of town. Bathrooms were large and clean. breakfast was good, although the hotel doesn't give you options. They just bring out what they've prepared. The beds were a bit soft/saggy. The room smelled of mold and was dusty. two people in our party has to take allergy medicine.

Idéalement situé poor faire une ballade en vélo dans le Watwrland et pour découvrir Édam. L’hôtel est charmant et le personnel prévenant. Un peu surpris à notre arrivée par la réception qui est au bar du restaurant. Nous avons dîner à l’auberge, le plateau de tapas pour 2 est très copieux.

本來要給我一個不是訂房照片的較小房間，還好剛好桌子、跟燈都壞了，就換到照片中的房間了，很古典、舒適、景觀超讚。早餐也非常豐盛，可惜兩天一模一樣。透過電商平台訂房，ㄧ定要存檔原本的細節資料，還有就是小心別重複付款

Très bon accueil et excellent petit déjeuner dans une charmante salle de restaurant. Excellent emplacement dans la ville. Belle terrasse. La chambre est petite et vieillotte. Mauvaise insonorisation. Vue sur du béton et des tuyaux d'aération. On ne peut pas ouvrir correctement la fenêtre. Tarif excessif pour la chambre. Mauvaise literie, et dessus de lit tâché. Une multitude de coussins complètement inutiles que l'on ne sait pas où poser dans cette petite chambre.

Hotel très agréable et accueillant
Ce n'est pas la première fois que nous séjournons dans cet hôtel et nous y retournons toujours avec autant de plaisir. L'hôtel est très bien situé et borde le canal, il est proche d'Amsterdam que l'on peut gagner en bus sans prendre la voiture. Le personnel y est très accueillant et accommodant. Les chambres sont très agréables et personnalisées, sans parler du restaurant de l'hôtel où nous prenons du jour plaisir à déguster les plats du chef, qui varient selon les saisons. Le petit déjeuner est à la hauteur, on ne manque de rien. C'est un hôtel où on aime se laisser un peu vivre et prendre le temps de souffler un peu.

Wir wurden herzlich in Empfang genommen und haben uns von a-z wohlgefühlt. Das Personal sprach sogar perfekt deutsch! Wenn die Matratzen härter wären - gäbs die volle Punktzahl!
