The house is grand and full of character with big high ceilings and amazing decorative pieces in every room. There is a great big dining room to enjoy big dinners together and a large but cozy salon for spending time together. "This was a family trip from America. First time in France, loved the city but was so nice to come back to our home for the week in the country. We all fell in love with everything. The host was very kind, helpful and was a nice part of our week. Thank you for allowing us to live in your world for a memorable week. "We booked the whole accommodation for 3 weeks and although owner was very helpful when asked mainly, we had to request linen changes and adequate cleaning supplies, we had to provide own toilet paper and bin liners. A car is a necessity as laundromat and supermarket are 4 kilometres away. The village is superb, great walks, a great local restaurant with several surrounding wonderful villages."

"Originally only booked for 1 month as we were relocating to France, however due to the Covid-19 outbreak ended up staying for 3 months, and could not have been in a better place. The accommodation, area and neighbours were great would highly recommend this as a place to stay and not to far from Lyon center."

"We wanted a place close to Lyon to use as a starting point for a tour of the Massif Central. La Rafiliere fit the bill perfectly. The countryside in April was gorgeous and the house was clean and comfortable. Our only disappointment was not meeting the donkeys!"

"Had a lovely stay at the mill. The space is large, bright and airy. The surrounding area is picturesque and the mill is an interesting old building with lots of arts, craft and nature to enjoy. Bed was comfy, kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals, shower was great. Highly recommend a stay to disconnect from the fast pace of life and enjoy the slow life."

"We were returning from skiing and wanted a day to play in Lyon prior to getting on the plane. This was a nice, out of the way place. We went to Lyon and had fun, and were close to the airport when it was time to leave. The house we clean, check in was easy, owner was very helpful. I would stay again!"
