"Wonderful! A once in a lifetime opportunity to stay in a magnificent Chateau taken from the fairy tales. The owners are very nice, the place is clean and decorated with grace, with attention to every little detail and great ancient artifacts and restoration work done. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast was served with splendor and friendly service, though I would add 2-3 local cheeses and a soft/hard boiled egg. Marine provides an amazing breakfast for a small up-charge, and well worth it. Sh is an equestrian and the Villa is on horse property in rural Tamerville near Valognes. One caveat, you must have a car 🚗 Transportation options in rural Normandy are very limited....

"A lovely spacious apartment as a stopover before hopping on an early morning ferry. Only downside was that when I requested a plug for the bath I was told it was there the night before and that I should take a shower! 😧 Part of this “fawlty towers” moment was the language barrier, and that they also run a restaurant downstairs and seemed overly stretched and understaffed.
