This charming lakehouse boasts beautiful decor and spacious common areas—a cozy living room, an open dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a relaxing porch with a great view. The house is impeccably clean and well-maintained, with plenty of linens, blankets, and towels for lake use. The lake is easily accessible, and guests can enjoy the kayaks provided. The two refrigerators are ideal for storing food for a large group when the nearest store is a bit of a drive (20 to 30 minutes). Also because of its remoteness, the wi-fi is not great but nature is what you'd be there for anyway.
The listing contained a few mistakes, but the Owner issued a refund for one of them. The listing does show sofa beds, but they are just couches in the living room — the house realistically sleeps twelve with two per room plus a bunk room for four. The worst part was arriving at a hot house. It was 87-degrees inside on a 95-degree day, and it took a while to figure out the smart thermostat and cool the house off.
The Owner, Molly, was easily reached, very responsive, and lovely to communicate with even though she doesn't usually handle property management.
Overall, the house was good, but it has the potential to be great. With a few adjustments, it could be a perfect vacation spot for the next guests!
