This, custom home is surrounded by 25 acres of forested hillside, yet it is very near the shopping, dining, and conveniences of Eastsound Village.

Discriminating guests will appreciate the exquisite details, superior finishes, and meticulous construction of The Bridges. It offers four lovely bedrooms, two on each level.

There are two living areas, one upstairs and one downstairs, each with a flat screen TV and fireplaces.

Maybe some in the group will be by the fire to watch movies upstairs while others sit by the downstairs fire to watch a sports event.

The upper covered deck is cozy and welcoming in both rain and shine. Additionally, there is a covered patio and fire pit just outside the lower level. Those cherishing more separation may also choose to close doors at the top of the stairwell, creating quiet separation.

Guests with mobility limitations are advised that there is a series of steps that leads from the parking area through a rockery to reach the upper entry.

Wonderful House & Ideal Location
We really enjoyed our stay. With the "two houses in one" style, it's perfect for larger groups though we spent most of our time upstairs. The wrap around deck is a nice feature with a peek a boo view of the water, and the rest of the home is nicely appointed. It's about a 10-15 min walk to Eastsound so the location is central to much of the island. Would happily stay here again.

Beautiful tree house
This well designed beautiful home was perfect for our family group of 8. The kitchen is well equipped; we had everything we could possibly need- all essentials! Comfortable beds and bedding, outdoor seating on two levels. We enjoyed the fire pit! The location is good, walkable to town but I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing so due to traffic. We would love to come back.

What a beautiful home! Worked as a great spot to sleep, eat and lounge for a long girls weekend on Orcas. Four beautiful bedrooms w comfy beds. Two entire kitchen and living room sections. Could easily accommodate two families instead! Fantastic home w beautiful style and convenient amenities. There are somewhat steep stairs to enter, so not for the handicapped or terribly infirmed, but totally manageable even w a bum foot. Hosts were great communicators and so lovely!

Island Adventure
The property was first rate, well kept, centrally located. There is a good deal of traffic noise during the daytime, as the house is on the main road from the ferry landing to Eastsound, but traffic quieted down in the evening, never affecting our sleep. It was ideal for our group of eight adults. There are two distinct living areas with fully equipped kitchens, as such the upstairs could be rented by one group of four while the downstairs could be another separate group, with the stairs locked off. Or in our case, the stairs were opened and we used the whole house.

Secluded two unit home Near Eastsound, well configured for several couples or two families with both
Beautifully decorated and well appointed with both indoor/outdoor, public/private spaces. Conducive to cooking/dining activities. Several sets of stairs indoors and outdoors. Property is just off main road and walkable to town if you don't mind walking along roadway. Trees and screening makes it feel more secluded. Grills, porches, and outdoor spaces make it easy to enjoy the natural setting. Never did figure out all of the light switches.

Well equipped for two families, but close to road
The house was roomy and well equipped (two full kitchens) for two families and an easy layout to separate teens from adults (as the teens would prefer). Being close to the village of Eastsound was quite convenient. However, the house is immediately upslope from the main road and all outdoor decks face the road. The proximity and elevation amplifies road noise directly toward the house. So this is not a quiet house in the woods.

Great House for Two Families
This is a beautifully appointed house close to Eastsound. It made a great home base for a short vacation for our two families to explore Orcas. The kitchens were well stocked (one upstairs and one down stairs) with clean and nice appliances. It was really convenient to have two full kitchens and separate apartments for the two families and yet we could eat together and all hang out by the fire pit at night. As others have noted, light sleepers may hear cars on the road, but I was the only one of our group who noticed, and once I turned on the fan in the room I didn't notice and slept wonderfully well on extremely comfortable beds. It is a quiet place, with no signs of neigbors once you're at this beautiful house.

Pristine!
This house has two of everything. Living areas, master suites, kitchens, washer/dryers, and —best of all—porches! Mike and Evelyn were helpful in every way; from advising us about the ferry to offering suggestions about great hikes, they personified the best of hospitality. The house is beautiful, easy and comfortable. We especially appreciated the notes about how to care for the home so that we were never in doubt about what was expected of us. The views of ocean peaking through the tree tops, the cool summer breezes and the fire pit for s'mores, lit by stars at night, made this a perfect stay for our family: grandparents, children and grandchildren. We loved Hogstone—oysters perfectly matched to summer rose— and Island Hoppin' Brewery, as well as Madrona Grill. Mt Constitution, with its jaw-dropping views and hikes, is not to be missed! Thanks, Mike and Evelyn! We can't wait to come back!

Very Nice …
The house is pretty much perfect. Clean, well decorated/layed out, supplied, organized and location is spot on. You have options to many indoor or outdoor seating to retreat to having your own space or lounging about with who you’re traveling with. All the bedrooms are cozy and are supplied about the same. The only draw back I saw was getting to the house. Driveway/parking area is below the house. You will need to haul your bags UP to the house. Which is a lot if your staying a week and have 3 bags pre-person. Or have ANY medical limits (at the time I had a broken ankle & was in a boot). Although in the property description it does mention rocky stairs. Take into consideration you’ll be ready for a chilled beverage after you unload the car. And if coming home late…. It’s DARK! Over all - the house is lovely. I’d stay again. We had everything we needed. It was close to town, not noisy, trees kept you nestled in with wildlife (mamma doe & fawn) walking about property, hummingbirds buzzing and the whispers above from the branches. Very relaxing…. Ya just gotta get there😉
