HEAVENLY HOMESTEAD is being offered for the 2023 season with some changes in the units available. As the pictures have previously shown, it was offered as two side-by-side cottages with occupancy available in both units to any renters. The owner for the 2023 season has decided to remove the smaller cottage from the program for the owner's personal use during periods of time when we have no guests in the larger cottage. The Heavenly Homestead property is in the middle of almost nine acres of natural beauty. Trees, outdoor seating area, exterior BBQ, it's simply perfect for your Orcas Island Getaway.

Centered on almost nine rural acres of Orcas Island natural beauty, sits an architecturally designed cottage just waiting to take you back to a simpler and quieter time. The cottage provides luxurious accommodation, a soaring ceiling, great lighting and wood burning fireplace for cozy nights (wood supplied).

The cottage provides a full kitchen and beautiful tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. For sleeping accommodations, it has a queen size sleeper sofa downstairs and a luxurious queen bed in its upstairs loft area.

The cottage benefits from wall-mount HD smart televisions for streaming Amazon and Netflix. Hi speed Internet provides convenient Wifi for any online services you might need to access while in residence. The cottage includes a work desk, but working isn’t what we recommend when visiting the most beautiful of the San Juan Islands. Orcas is called the Emerald Island for good reason. While on the island visit Moran State Park, Cascade Lake, Mount Constitution and the most beautiful bays in the Islands. Whale watching, fishing, swimming, it’s all here.

You’ll become enraptured with the sounds of the ocean in the distance and a glorious chorus of birds sing nature’s melody. Unique birds caress the trees and two bald eagles (affectionately known as Fred and Ethel) visit the pond frequently. Deer are present and enjoy the pond and meadow too. At sunset, the sky is illuminated with amazing colors that peek through the trees. Enjoy the sunset on the patios as you sip a glass of wine on beautifully crafted furniture.

The real fun at Heavenly Homestead is outdoors onsite where you will find an outdoor fire pit (wood provided) and comfortable seating for lounging on an outdoor stone patio overlooking your domain. There is a distant view of water seen through the trees enclosing this wonderful property.

Due to steep terrain and a fairly deep pond, only children 10 and older can be accommodated on this property. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests and no children under of the age of 10 are allowed.

The owners may be onsite using their separate cottage when no guests are present.

No parties, no smoking and quiet hours must be observed, none of which will in any way impact enjoying your stay at Heavenly Homestead. Please note this home has 2 steps to the entrance.

Romantic getaway
Hubby and I escaped some Texas heat for a romantic getaway just the two of us. This house was just what we wanted! The view from the back patio was phenomenal-all kinds of birds and deer visited the property. It was so quiet and peaceful and private. Love the property and the layout. Weather was just perfect too! The only thing that was tricky for us was the stairs-they are narrow so you have to be careful! But we got the hang of them and really enjoyed ourselves. We’d love to come back to stay in this property again.

All in all the place is really cute and the setting is out of a storybook very peaceful and beautiful. Not good for tall people on the little stairs going to the bedroom and the Wi-Fi and television suck (a new amazing TV I’d highly suggested and so cheap and starlink the owner may want to look into). Tried to watch a movie and didn’t work out very well due to slow Wi-Fi and old TV system, but all in all really nice option and convenient location close to Eastsound and hiking. I’d give it 5 stars if I didn’t almost slip and break something going up and down to bedroom and WiFi was halfway descent. Chris

Picturesque cabin in an enchanted forest.
This cabin was everything we had hoped for and more. Kitchen was complete with everything you could need to make full meals, even had a little coffee station with coffee and cream/sugar included. Wine glasses and cork screw were available as well. The cabin was perfect for a couples getaway, very secluded, surrounded by trees, hiking trail on the property, we had an unobstructed view of the Milky Way from the front of the cabin. A few different sitting areas outside. The whole stay was truly magical, like a page from a fairytale book.

Beautiful location on beautiful Orcas Island!
Loved our stay at Heavenly Homestead. Lovely setting - very private and quiet and the location was perfect- close to town and Moran State Park.. House was well stocked and they thought of everything - including blinds on the skylights! Only feedback I have is that I wish the bed in the smaller cottage would have been a king bed and that the couch is the larger cottage was a better pull out sofa. Otherwise, all great!

Unbelievably Gorgeous Property & Wonderful House!
Our family stayed here in July while our friends vacationed at West Beach Resort (a 3-minute drive away). This home (two cottages, really) seemed brand-new and was immaculately clean. The kitchen was so easy to use and was fully stocked with everything we needed. In fact there were so many items stocked that the listing didn't even mention but should - enough laundry/dishwasher detergent for the whole stay, travel-sized toiletries in both bathrooms, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters (lots) and coffee packs for the first couple mornings, S&P, foil and plastic wrap (thank you!!!), and basic cleaning supplies like multipurpose spray & a broom/dustpan. I really appreciate when I don't have to buy full-sized items like these when I'll just be somewhere for a week, and I also appreciate having things like cleaning spray & a broom to tidy up throughout the week. The cottages are set up with the main house having the full kitchen, a full bath with washer/dryer, a living room with Roku TV (that you can stream your own channels through and then set it to delete all your logins when you leave so everyone else isn't later using your Netflix acct), and an upstairs loft with two twin beds. Our sons slept in this main cottage. Right next door is a smaller cottage which is basically a large owners' suite consisting of a bed, sitting area, kitchenette, and a full bath. It's all gorgeous and comfortable. But the PROPERTY is the STAR!! Photos don't do it justice. We saw deer daily - bucks with horns, mothers & babies, and bald eagles drinking from the pond. There are little walking paths/trails all around that were fun to explore and the whole place is just magical, like out of a fairytale. There's a beautiful view of the ocean at the bottom of the hill past the pond with chairs and stumps to sit on. We watched sunsets there nightly (didn't notice many mosquitos, either). There's a fire pit that we really wanted to try out with plenty of firewood, but we usually ended up having fires on the beach at our friends' place. It feels like living in your own woods yet is conveniently close to Eastsound for groceries & restaurants. There are also some neighbors that have egg stands with fresh eggs if you get there early enough. The whole vibe here was beyond darling and absolutely perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and we would definitely stay here again!!

The property was perfectly situated within the forest and up on a hill overlooking Waldron Island.
We enjoyed our stay with nightly fires in the fireplace and the quietness of the property are what stood out to us while we stayed on Orcas. The location is good for getting into East Sound and other parts of the Island. The interior of the houses was clean and modern.

The cottages are great, property is so peaceful. Super clean. looked brand new when we stayed there. Loved cooking in the kitchen with the big doors out to the patio and view. Truly unbeatable property, highly recommend!
