An Orcas oasis nestled in beautiful Eastsound. John and Katie's place is one of a kind on the Emerald Island. With stunning sunset views overlooking Cresent Beach, this vacation spot is sure to impress. The property is fully equipped from the spacious kitchen to the outdoor fire pit and a hot tub facing the ocean. With an acre of well maintained yard space- it's the perfect area for family games or opt to sit on the covered deck and read a book. Comfortable outdoor couches, propane fire table and an outdoor TV to enjoy sports with friends or movie nights with the kids! Come visit us and see what relaxation is all about!

Nice House in Perfect Location
We loved staying at this property. House is newly remodeled and has everything you need with a beautiful large yard right on the water. The location was perfect and easy to get to all areas of the island. We would recommend staying at this great property!

Beautiful Getaway!

Making this a family tradition!
We just LOVE staying on this beautiful property. We brought our new baby up this time along with big brother and had a magical few days as a family BBQing, toasting s'mores and playing soccer on that enormous lawn. The location is perfect and John & Katie are the most generous hosts to share this amazing spot with strangers. Definitely going to make this a special vacation spot for our family as long as it's available!

Fantastic views
This property was very clean and had a frantic view of the ocean. It’s a 5 minute drive from East Sound, so it was very well located. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

John and Katie’s place couldn’t be more conveniently located and is perfectly designed for vacation. The outdoor spaces are stunning - we sat on the comfy back porch and watched the eagles catch the updrafts in the mornings and the sunsets in the late evenings. We’ll be back!

Such a beautiful property. Near town, near the lake and hiking spots. We had a great time playing around in the yard, sitting on the deck, enjoying the hot tub. The cliff was a bit scary, but our kids did a great job of staying on the safe side of the fence. We love Orcas Island.

Peaceful, Serene Setting
We have stayed on Orcas many times since the early 1990', John & Katie's place ranks at the top. Such a beautiful, serene setting. Spotless home with warm welcoming of fresh cut flowers & a bottle of wine. Beds very comfortable, beautiful decor. Our favorite was sitting on the back deck & taking in the gorgeous view, wildlife & the sweet resident cats. A very quiet & peaceful setting, great location. Excellent communication from host.

Perfection!
Wow! What a beautiful place and every thing we could possibly need was available. We did so much exploring on Orcas but really returning to relax on the back porch and taking in the amazing view was one of my favorites. The Perfect Vacation Spot!!!
This home was wonderful for our mother and (adult) daughter getaway. The house if perfectly comfortable with all of the amenities to cook, watch movies, relax in the ocean breezes, and sleep like a log. Also, we enjoyed the hike to Mount Constitution summit, sunset kayak tour, whale watching tour, and exploring the charming village of East Sound. We definitely want to come back and thank Chelsea for helpful responses when we had a question. We highly recommend this delightful rental property if you want to unplug and recharge.

Dream wedding location
My husband and I found Chelsea’s property last year when we were looking for wedding locations on the water. We immediately fell in love when we saw the pictures online. Once we got in contact with Chelsea, she made the whole process so simple for us. We actually hadn’t seen the property until a couple of days before our wedding, but it did not disappoint. The house is very cute and perfect for two couples to stay in. The yard and view is just something else! We’ll be sure to come back here for anniversary trips in the future!

Great location and beautiful home!
We enjoyed our stay at John and Katie’s home immensely! The house is fantastic. Everything is new and clean. Beautifully decorated. The hot tub was lovely and the yard was so nice to play in! We loved coffee in the morning on the back deck and evenings playing games as a family. The one note I would make is the far extension of the property toward the sound is a very steep cliff down. Our kids are older and understood not to go beyond the fence, but I would have been a bit concerned if we had younger kids in our group. Very close to the market and East Sound village. Overall a perfect vacation! Thanks for sharing your home!

Thanksgiving getaway
We skipped out on Thanksgiving this year with a getaway to Orcas Island. The Ocean View House on East Sound was a lovely spot - close to town, close to Moran State Park, views of the water, quiet. It offered everything we needed - comfortable and cozy hang/living area, comfortable beds, big kitchen for cooking and the outdoor covered porch with fire table and outdoor TV with views of the water was a total bonus. We loved it! Chelsea was so responsive and easy to communicate with when we had questions. Two things to note for future renters: 1) For those of you who, like me, are sensitive to fragrances and perfumes, they do use scented laundry detergent so the towels and sheets have a strong scent. Consider bringing your own sheets and towels, which I have gotten into the habit of doing. 2) For winter renters, the floor is quite cold and it is a "no shoe" house. Good to bring slippers or cozy socks.
