"Fantastic hotel in a top spot in Gisborne. The staff are warm and friendly. We have stayed in this hotel often and we would totally recommend it to all travellers. The views of the river and harbour are great. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Again thanks for a great stay. "

"The view from the hotel is incredible! There is no direct beach access, however. The room was clean and well-appointed with a refrigerator, fan, private bathroom, and sitting space on the deck. The bed was comfortable. The resident dog and cat were incredibly friendly and well-mannered. The owner was very friendly and helpful. "Really Dirty! broken doors (got locked in toilet twice), broken blinds with no curtains so light flows on through, extremely hot, no aircon is fine but put in a fan or even window stays as we couldnt open a window to try cool down. Could say alot more about our room but wont. The room next door appeared alot cleaner so perhaps its being renovated. Wouldnt stay again."
