Eastbourne is always lovely hotel was ok bit dated no pugs near bed had to bye a extension lead to dry my hair has no plug near mirror lifts were slow so had to walk up three flights of stairs shower was great bed was ok room a little small was ok for the money on short notice
Dated hotel. No wifi in rooms. Very much geared up for elderly customers and coach trips. Bathroom in room boiling, towel rail on which couldnt be switched off. Dining room like a cattle market very busy.
Came home with dogy tummy after having breakfast here.
The apartment was very clean when we arrived. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is very convenient - it is 2 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to Eastbourne Station. There are lots of shops around.
I will definitely come back again

Good
The hotel was good comfortable very close to the seaside and the town centre.
We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I can’t give a review but I imagine it must be nice so all in all I give it a 👍
The Hotel is old and tired. It is only a 2 star but a little TLC would easily bring it up to a 3 star. Staff were hit and miss and we felt like outsiders as the Hotel caters for Coach parties and we were independent travellers. No welcome pack in our flat, breakfast was not included and the staff were hit and miss - most were professional but a little grumpy and seemingly demotivated. Place was not clean, but not dirty, with little in place for social distancing and hygiene. All in all, over-priced but certainly not the worst place we have ever stayed. A lovely Victorian building with a lot of character.
Staff were really nice and polite. If someone arrives by car, the parking will cost you £2 for a day, they give scratch card, which is super cheap.
Rooms and whole hotel needs a bit of update, but still it was very nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again, and it’s next to the sea, very good location.

Rented a flat. large size, friendly staff, well maintained property. A few things were not upto the mark:
1. bright neons just outside the windows without a proper curtain, kept us awake at night
2. No view of the sea (can not be expected all the time anyway)
3. The name 'imperial' hotel itself is offensive! Brings back many unpleasant memories to those who are slightly aware of our historical past!

The imperial hotel is a hotel that has a lot of coach trips, really needs a bit of modernization. It just has not kept with the times.
However, the service ok.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Over all comfortable.
One night in a self catering apartment, recently decorated not to high standard. It was clean. Staff were helpful when asked as the kitchenette was not stocked with a few necessities such as washing-up liquid, dishwasher tabs. And things like salt and pepper would if been helpful. It has 3 rather high steps leading into the kitchen, which we were fine with, but not suitable for the less mobile. But over all a comfortable stay.
the double room was very small and our private bathroom had a bathtub only. It is unbelievable that nowadays hotels don't provide sustainable solutions. I would not recommend this place.
the very sad Breakfast is serviced at 8.30am, no other options, all guests at once, didn't feel very confortable with covid cases still going on…and check out at 10am!!!
avoid this place, i cant say a single good thing…
The original problem we had was rectified straightway.
The overall stay was really nice and workers were all v.friendly.
The older couple doing the tribute songs in the ballroom downstairs were very good also, had a nice night..
Will definitely go back there next year on the Tennis Sunday.
