Situated to the east of Eastbourne, the north and south harbours at this award-winning marina are divided by shops, pubs and restaurants and is less than a 5-minute stroll from the apartment. Take a boat trip from the harbour and observe the iconic cliffs around Beachy Head formed over 65 million years ago when the area was covered by warm tropical seas. Spot the lighthouse and keep a look out for seals. Eastbourne itself is a classic 19th-century English seaside resort complete with promenade and pier, nestling at the edge of the South Downs National Park. Visit the award-winning Turner Contemporary Gallery, enjoy an evening at the theatre or indulge in a spot of retail therapy. Pevensey Castle, Brighton and Herstmonceux Observatory Science Centre make for great days out for the whole family. There is also an indoor leisure centre nearby. Beach 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

The views from the balcony were even better than we expected.
The views from the balcony were even better than we expected. The apartment is clean, spacious and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Local amenities are just a short walk away. Bus services to Eastbourne run regularly which was convenient for the tennis and for the train to Brighton. Our car was safely parked in the private garage on the days we didn't use it.
