Charming Farm Abode with gourmet food and access to lake, trails & farm fun
The charming "Innlet" is minutes' walk to a beach and dock on Lake Pattagansett or to seasonal farm animals or to trails through the woods. It adjoins the Inn at White Gate Farm and guests may book in conjunction with Inn guests or be completely independent. Prepare your own meals with our organic ingredients in the updated kitchen or purchase prepared meals, sourdough bread, pastries, eggs and more in the online store. On Saturdays the farm stand is open from 9 to 2 and on some summer Saturdays FarmFest occurs from 3 to 7 with live music, hot pizza and a raw bar. Guests can fish in the pond or lake or use the kayaks and stand up paddleboards, which are shared with other guests.

Our family had a lovely stay at the "Innlet." The grounds were beautiful and fun to explore, and the location was an easy drive to many restaurants and activities. The Saturday farm stand was wonderful and so convenient. We look forward to returning!

Wonderful little addition to the farm property. The staff is incredible. The food on the farm is amazing, don’t miss it! Staying here really helped us slow down life. Can’t recommend the property enough!
The farm could not be more lovely or peaceful. My son and I had a great time exploring the property and visiting the animals. Hard to believe you are only a few minutes away from downtown Niantic. The innlet was cozy and clean.
The innlet was simply decorated and equipped with all we needed for our stay. Kevin was warm and welcoming and made us feel like long time friends. The farm property was peaceful and the location serene. Our only wish was that the pool would be available to guests at the innlet as it was reserved for inn guests only.
My family and I had such a lovely stay on the farm. I felt like I was able to disconnect for the long weekend and SUP & kayaking on the lake was a great way to beat the heat. The beaches in Niantic were close by too. The farmers market was full of amazing treats and great sourdough. So much work goes into maintaining the property and I have renewed appreciation for all the superstars growing our food. 10/10!
When I found this listing on VRBO, i thought it might be fake or too good to be true. It was hard to imagine that a place with so much beauty and nature and serenity was a 35 minute drive from my own home. Kevin and Pauline and the rest of the staff created an environment that made us feel welcome to explore and take in all that this unique place has to offer. Like most places like this, it's effect is hard to describe. It's really a place to be experienced and it was such a gift that my daughters and I were able to.
We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the White Gate Farm. My kids loved the “critter tour” with Kevin. We were also there for Farm Fest that had wood fired pizza, live music & a family friendly atmosphere. Everyone we talked to was kind and helpful, including Pauline, and another employee Cory that talked with us on one of our morning walks around the farm. The only drawbacks were I personally prefer a softer bed (I purchased an egg crate and was immediately reimbursed), and we thought there would be double kayaks but there were only single and our kids were too young for that. Overall it was a super friendly, inviting stay that provided much more than just a place to sleep. Thank you!
We were hugely welcomed by Pauline and the wider staff on the farm. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely glad to have us enjoy the grounds and the surrounding beauty. We stayed for more than 2 weeks, enjoying special time with our family (we currently live terribly far from each other) and taking part in the offerings on the farm, including FarmFest, sheep-herding, the delicious and amazing produce, baked goods of the Farm Stand (including Kevin's sourdough loaves), Pauline's Agri-Bliss talk/light dinner, time on the lake, and then Tami's heavenly 4-course farm-to-table dinner on our final evening. We enjoyed the farm in all its weather and at all times of the day. It was a much needed respite from the hustle of our life in Houston. Thank you so much for making us feel so at home.
We were on a mini vacation to visit our son who was transferred to the Naval base. Location was perfect - could not get any better. We stayed at the cottage. perfect for a small family. Just enough. The grounds are superb- we took little walks to the lake. it rained so we were unable to go on the water. But the peace & serenity was just beautiful. And exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely come back and recommend even staying longer. All local attractions are nearby- I have boys - so we did sports stuff (Basketball Hall Fame/Pez/ PGA Tour). My boys want to come back for even more stuff to visit. The cottage is attached to an Inn. There was a family reunion. We met with the people and spent some quality time socializing. They have a wonderful great room with a huge fireplace going with piano and my son had the wonderful opportunity to perform for our new found acquaintances. This review would not be complete if I did not mention the Farm Stand. The bakery and vegetable and juices and Hummus spreads (the list continues- honestly cannot choose my favorite). But everything was fresh and wonderful. The Host (Pauline/Kevin/Nikki) and the entire staff was gracious and really /warm and welcoming. We attended a wonderful fundraiser with Japanese food and a live band on the lawn. I highly recommend this wonderful place. And we will be returning to visit our son in the near future. Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place.
My family of four decided to go on a last minute getaway over a long weekend and White Gate Farm could not have been a more beautiful place to do so! The farm (and the absolute bounty at the Saturday market) exceeded every expectation. Easy access to Mystic was a bonus for our family. The “Innlet” was comfortable and very well suited to our needs. We hope to return again soon!
Lovely working farm with chickens and lambs. Good farmstand on weekends. Our only feedback is the bed in the master bedroom could do with a new mattress! Overall a lovely stay, thanks to Kevin and Pauline!
Our family of four (plus our dog) really enjoyed our stay at White Gate Farm. The inn-let was cozy, but still quite comfortable with enough space to watch a movie together on a rainy day.
The farm was beautiful. Our dog enjoyed lots of off-leash time and all of us enjoyed the canoes and kayaks. The roads around Lake Paatagansett make for great running routs, especially if you like some hills.
Adorable cottage. Absolutely spotless! Peaceful & relaxing property. The farm stand is amazing, too.
. Easy drive to local attractions, Dinosaur Place, Mystic Aquarium & Mystic Seaport. We had a a great time and hope to visit again.
Very relaxing 2-night stay for single traveler who wanted to poke around the shore-line towns. Super clean. Was able to walk around the farm and to the lake, enjoying informal conversations with owner or staff. Great location for easy drive into the village of Flanders (great seafood!), Niantic (beaches & breakfast), and Harkness Memorial or Rocky Neck State Parks. Please note that the two bedrooms and bathroom are on the 2nd floor of the innlet.
We utilized this unit for extra housing for our friends who were attending our wedding at the farm for the weekend. The unit is separate from the main inn, however can be accessed from the Main Inn if you choose. Would definitely recommend!
