I really enjoyed my stay everything was really great except for the fact there was no TV and there was no microwave other than that we had a fantastic time it did take us a little bit to find the property because we were given the wrong address on accident it was only like 10 minutes and we found the place so no harm other than that we had a fantastic time we were allowed to use all the amenities on the property which was really great and it was a peaceful beautiful spot
We came up for our son’s wedding so we didn’t spend a lot of time in the cabin. I’m more of a “mint on my pillow” kind of girl but that’s on me! It was a very comfy cabin, rustic but had all of the amenities. Keep in mind it is a cabin, no air conditioning but fans we brought and the cool northern Michigan lake breeze made sleeping devine. It was perfect for what we needed and I appreciated the water in the fridge and the snacks left for us! Thank you for a memorable weekend!
The mist on the lake at sunrise was breathtaking! It was very peaceful and quiet. My young Boston Terrier had a blast chasing bull frogs, fish and dragon flies. Never thought she'd take to the water like she did.
The cabin is rustic and nicely decorated. It did smell a little bit like damp basement, and the electrical is old (i.e. no grounded outlets), but there was a two to three prong adapter in the kitchen, so I was able to run an extension cord for my travel power supply pad into the bedroom to charge my phone and tablet, which I used for reading in the peace and quiet. I would recommend bringing a 2-prong extension cord, as there are no outlets in the bedroom. Im not sure about outlets in the bedroom with the two twin beds, as I did not need to use that room. The cabin is about 15 minutes from East Jordan, and 30 Minutes from Boyne City. There was no cell service at the cabin, but that was not a problem for me. However, Google maps was inaccurate on directions and sent me a couple miles out of my way. Thank you to Angela for navigating me back to the cabin. I would stay again.
This was a great little place. My family enjoyed our time. The only downfall was the smell of the water. I’ve had well water before but this was super strong. Other than that I would recommend this Ada good place to stay
Rustic charm that is pure Michigan. Abundant natural beauty and plenty of peaceful morning and evening hours. Close enough to all the major attractions while far enough away to enjoy the beautiful countryside.
This property is right on Scott Lake which is beautiful. The cabin is cozy and rustic. Overall, it is a nice place if you are not bougie. We had a great time!
Pros: Great location, peaceful, Host had great communication, had what we needed in the cabin,
Cons: no power outlets in the rooms, cell signal is poor (which could be a good thing for some) water smell is what you would expect in a cabin in the woods.
This stay was exactly what we needed, and the cabin was so clean and well-resourced. The lake was very serene as well, and the hosts are definitely on their way at putting more great cabins on the property. Thanks again, Angela!

Very clean! Property needs updated, we found it mid-construction. Would stay again.
It was just what we needed for a few nights. The property is definitely under construction, as the listing says. But that didn't bother us too much, as we live in the country and used to the look. But I'm sure it'll be amazing once the other cabins are fixed up. The stove/oven is an old school propane stove. The pilot lights most remain lit at all times. We woke up in the morning with a headache from the gas, one of the lights had blown out (it's close to the door, assuming that closing the door too fast may create a draft that blows out the flame). So we were constantly checking to make sure the flames were still going. There aren't any plugs in the bathroom or bedroom. I had to take the mirror from the bedroom and put it in the kitchen to do my hair. We were up there for a wedding!... otherwise I normally wouldn't have cared to do it. We met the owner of the property. Super cool guy!! We will be back soon! Hoping to come back to do some fishing and duck hunting.
We loved this little cabin. It was so cute and very clean. The wood beams on the ceiling were awesome. Perfect for us and our 2 kids. Scott Lake was gorgeous and the sunrises were gorgeous. The location was great, as we visited many local attractions, from Torch Lake to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. I felt foolish for bringing so many supplies, because this place had everything we could have needed. Just bring your clothes, bathroom supplies, and food. You can tell the owner had put a lot of thought into what her guests might need. Google maps gave us the entirely wrong location, but Angie helped us figure it out. She was very helpful in every way. We also used Waze to navigate once we were up there and it took us right to the cabin. The work being done on the cabins was barely noticeable. I would love to stay in this location again one day, maybe rent out the whole place with friends and family after the work has been completed!
My husband, son, and I enjoyed a long weekend at the cabin while participating in the High School Bass Fishing Tournament this weekend. The cabin is every you would think of for a Northern Michigan experience. Rustic and quiet. There is very poor to non-existent cellular connectivity so be sure to plan your travels ahead. The cabin is on the lake, if you have a kayak or canoe you can access but there is no easy swimming access. The cabin is well stocked and we found nothing we were in need of that was not provided. There is no microwave but that did not affect us at all. My son caught a huge crappie off the dock and we hope to come back when we can enjoy the lake without other travel demands. The location is very convenient to the Glacial Hills mountain bike trail system as well where I enjoyed a great ride while by husband and son fished on Lake Charlevoix. Thank you for the stay!
It was a super cute, cozy little cabin. It's not fancy, but it doesn't claim to be. It was clean, had 4 walls, indoor plumbing and a truly comfortable bed. No cell service, Google maps doesn't have them placed properly, but it's not hard to watch the address numbers. No contact with Angela. None was necessary. We met Steven, who was a colorful character with lots of local stories.
We will definitely rent again, and look forward to seeing the progress of the property.
We had a great vacation. It was a nice quite area, but still close to several different towns for things to do. The boys loved the boats and fishing on the lake. Thanks for the stuff for smores it was greatly appreciated. I would go back in a heart beat.
Clean, quiet, and peaceful. Beautiful property to wake up at. The sounds of the loons were amazing. Cell phones only work on the very edge of the shoreline and the cabin was very comfy. Will come back again!
We love camping, but being pregnant with little ones we were unable to do it this trip. I would say this was a glamping type vacation for our family. The kids loved being so close to different lakes/swimming beaches, and we loved seeing the reflection of the sunrise and set everyday. Bring pretty far from city life it was absolutely beautiful seeing the night sky. Had great quick communication with Angela and everything was so wonderful during our stay. We hope to visit soon when the very spacious land is all fixed up.

Cute cabin
Nice cabin. Area under construction. Beautiful lake.
Nice location right on lake, still a work in progress but that doesn't take much away from the fun. Cabin is comfortable but wish there were 4 chairs around dining table instead of just 2. Loved the fire pit and outdoor chairs. Wanted to grill one night but no propane. Disappointed the dock wasn't in to fish from but the boys did catch a couple from the shore. Overall it was a nice stay, nice place and reasonably priced.
The location was nice and right on the lake as described. The grounds are definitely under construction, as the other review had mentioned, but not an issue for us. The cabin we stayed in was very clean, warm, inviting, and truly thoughtful.
Everything you could need was provided. It was especially lovely to have the popcorn and goodies for our children for the movie night.
Overall, the stay was great, other than the front door would not lock. We pushed the dining table in front of it for safety and we were fine, but definitely something that should be addressed for further peace of mind.
The dogs and the kids loved the grounds, the freedom to run and play, and we even caught a fish! Thank you for a wonderful reset.
In terms of communication, there was none as the site was a dead zone for cell service. But there were no issues that weren't met or provided for in the home.
Quaint cabin on a beautiful lake close 10-30 minutes from most anything. The grounds are going through a complete overhaul, but overall a good place to stay at a reasonable price.
