"Clean, quiet, well situated, picturesque. To enter there are 15 or so New England style steps to an upper landing. To go between levels, another interior set of the same. The weather on our trip was cool and rainy so we were not able to truly enjoy the spacious deck or the fire pit. The lake is crystal clear, the view from the deck and dock are a photographers delight. The best of rural Maine. Casting a gold spoon from the dock I caught a very nice trout, a few 12 inch small mouth black...

"Wished we asked more questions before booking. With 6 people, we only had one decent kayak to use. We were hoping to have a kayak ride as a group and that wasn't possible. 2 of the canoes were in excellent condition. The wooden steps at the bottom of the hill leading to the dock/water were very dangerous for 4 of us who were 60+ years old. It would be nice to have a flat place to sit with our chairs at the water, but realize that may not be possible on that property. The deck was great to have...

"We have been visiting this area to visit family for the last several years. This was our first stay. The property/unit were beautiful and spacious. The unit was stocked and even contained my favorite bagel seasoning. The property is close to town and the ski resorts. Would highly recommend. This now our preferred place to stay in the Rumford area."
