The Chestnut 2 BR Tiny House on the Saluda River

Summary:
This beautiful Tiny Home, perched on the bank of the Saluda River, is the ideal spot to get away for a few days! Situated 5 minutes from Downtown Greenville, this is the perfect place to escape reality and still enjoy one of the friendliest downtown areas in America. This is a tiny house, but not TOO tiny, and is perfect for families, with stocked kitchen and two spacious bedrooms. The master has a queen bed and perfect river views and the second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed.

The Space:
This adorable two bedroom tiny house is perfect spot for a small family to enjoy a cozy getaway. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious queen bed, closet, and television. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, with a comfy full on the bottom and twin on top. The best part is that the fantastic view of the Saluda River is visible from every window. The sweet little home has a fully functioning modern kitchen with a Keurig and granite countertop. The cozy living room has a small couch and chairs that can move to where they're needed. The fire pit, steps from the spacious porch, is a fun spot to roast marshmallows or tell stories as the water rolls by! This tiny home shares property with other tiny homes, a summer-time tubing company, river pods (easier camping), however, it still feels like a quiet getaway and the evenings are positively magical. Come make some wonderful memories at The Chestnut and The Saluda Outdoor Center! Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times and you must pick up after them. Please note, pet owners will be responsible for any damage and or special cleaning. The outdoor center is located on a busy highway and can be noisy at times.

Guest Access:
There is a keypad on the door

The Neighborhood:
This tiny home is owned by The Saluda Outdoor Center and shares space with other tiny homes, a summer-time tubing company, and River Pods (easier camping), however, it still feels like a quiet getaway in the cozy space and many have said staying here is "positively magical." Besides all the fun things to do on the property, if you want to explore, we are conveniently located only 10 minutes to downtown Greenville; 5 minutes to The Village of West Greenville (our "arts district"); 5 minutes to fast food and grocery stores in Easley; 25 minutes to GSP airport; 25 minutes to Clemson; 10 minutes to Furman University; 15 minutes to Travelers Rest; 30 minutes to Table Rock State Park among other natural wonders, waterfalls, and hikes. You seriously can't get more convenient than our location! There is plenty to do and see or the option of relaxing on the porch or in a hammock overlooking the water.

Getting Around:
We recommend your own mode of transportation, however, Uber and Lyft will come to our location.

Interaction with Guests:

Great location and relaxing place.
The location was great and overlooked the Saluda River. Staff was great and enjoyed tubing down the river. Wished the new restaurant and tavern would have been open but definitely great for the next time.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway
This location is ideal. The relaxing atmosphere by the river and the short drive into town made our two-day vacation a breeze to navigate. My husband and I went tubing on the river during our stay, and I highly recommend adding that to your list of things to do. It was very fun. Overall, the tiny home is well kept and well stocked, and the queen-sized bed is comfortable. My only complaint. There were massive black ants in the tiny home. It appears they have a nest by the tree on the left side of the porch. It needs some extra insecticide in that area. I have one suggestion: to have a full-body mirror somewhere. It would really be appreciated.

Weekend Getaway
This was a very clean property, and the perfect size for us and our dogs. The neighbors were quiet and the river view was very relaxing, and it was an easy drive to downtown Greenville. We'll definitely come back!

Nice stay
My husband and I stayed with our dogs and enjoyed our stay. The tiny house was cute and as expected, being right on the river. There was some road noise from the nearby highway but overall we had a good stay.

Great weekend
We had a great time at the river! The tiny house was clean and cute. We enjoyed sitting outside by the river. Tubing as a family was also super fun and easy to coordinate. Finally, the on-site taproom had delicious beer and food! Overall awesome stay!

Enjoyed it!
We had a great time in this tiny house. The River Lodge and the selection of food/drink were great! Nice to have live music too. Thoroughly enjoyed our time by our camp fire as well. We were missing our complimentary bundle of wood but the host immediately took care of that. The string lights were out in the yard, wish they would have worked but was not a big deal. The stove is difficult to work and actually scared me a little but could have been my lack of experience with it. All on all we had a great time and would definitely return!… thanks for a great “little” place for a much needed getaway!

Great for Clemson visit
Super cute tiny home right on the water. Had plenty of kitchen counter space and tools to put together food for an impromptu tailgating party. The place was super clean and awesome that they give you more than minimum things like soaps, paper towels etc. The view is great but just note that it is a on busy road so when sitting outside you will hear traffic. Just focus on the water and people having fun floating down the river and it doesn't matter:). Would stay again!

Great LOcation
The property was as advertised. Very close to Greenville, but secluded enough to give the feeling of being out in the country. 13 Stripes was a great little Restaurant/Brewery, and even had live music . Will book again if in the area.

Great peaceful Getaway
The property is beautiful with an amazing river view from this tiny house. Pet friendly too which was an added bonus. My son, dog, and I truly enjoyed our short stay here and will be back. The host was so amazing she actually had family in town and they all assisted us in getting a fire started. Great place with excellent customer service and a family friendly atmosphere.

My first stay in a tiny home.
We enjoyed our stay at The Chestnut. The house is positioned perfectly for optimal view of the river. The front porch was additional space that was great for meals. Definitely would highly recommend!
