Summary:
Our beautifully renovated Container Tiny Home is situated on the rushing Saluda River, is superbly outfitted for comfort and relaxation. This dreamy getaway is equipped with a nice full sized bathroom, efficiency kitchen, queen bed, and cozy living room. The beautiful property will take your breath away and is the perfect place to unwind. Depending on the season, we offer fun river activities through Saluda Outdoor Center and 13 Stripes brewery has dining options onsite.

Description:
The Sassafras is a romantic dream with its bold jewel toned decor and cozy vibes. There is a comfortable loveseat couch, a reading corner, and 3 outdoor seating areas. The bedroom has a luxurious queen size bed, plenty of storage, and a private patio. The kitchenette is equipped with a hot plate, toaster oven, Keurig, cooking utensils, plates, cups, bowl, and everything you need for an amazing stay. The bathroom features a double headed shower and light up mirror. The kitchen area has a lovely automatic window that opens the space up to the main outdoor porch. There is a fire pit with perfect river views. You will find the Sassafras Container Tiny Home has everything you need for a perfect stay!

While we are considered an outdoor center the main road can be noisy at times. No matter how you spend your time here, you will make special memories on the river. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times and you must pick up after them. Please note, pet owners will be responsible for any damage and or special cleaning. We are located by a road that can be noisy at times.

The Area: The Sassafras is located on the property of the Saluda Outdoor Center (SOC), where we also have several tiny houses available as short-term and long-term rentals. On the other side of the property, are our River Pods and community fire pits. The music stage may host various artists to perform for guests visiting SOC and the on-site brewery and eatery. In warmer months, SOC has a river tubing operation and is an outfitter for kayaking, paddle-boarding, and shore fishing (with license and at permitted times). If you want to explore the area, our location is ideal. We are less than 5 miles from Falls Park in downtown Greenville; five minute drive to the Village of West Greenville (Art District); 2.5 miles to Greenville/Pickens Speedway; 5 miles to Easley; 25 miles to Clemson University; 5 miles to Swamp Rabbit Trail; 30 minutes to Table Rock State Park...and much more! No matter what you decide, to stay around or venture out, you're sure to have a wonderful adventure!

Getting Around:
We recommend that you provide your own vehicle, as there is no public transportation to our facility. Uber, Lyft, and local Taxi service will accommodate this location, if that's preferred. This area is rich with hiking and biking trails, but will still require transportation to access trail entrances.

Interaction with Guests:
Katie, our on-site manager, will be your next door neighbor and is available to answer any questions you may have. The number is 864-777-3053 ext 2. We strive to give our guests privacy, but accessibility if contact is desired. Feel free to look for Katie, she’s amazing and happy to help!

Stylish & Cozy River Stay
Charming stay with thoughtfully curated decor and great proximity to downtown Greenville. We loved the walkability to the tavern and using the fire pit at night.

Enjoyed it more the 2nd time
This is our 2nd time using the Saluda Outdoor Center living accommodations. This is a fantastic location that makes you feel like you are in the middle of the woods but also 10 minutes from downtown Greenville. My wife and I came last year and loved it so much we came back this time with our kids, their grandparents, and brother and sister. We had a total of 11 people in 3 of the living accommodations. This is a MUST STAY.

Very cute!
This “glamper” was very cute and cozy. The hosts supplied everything and left some nice extras like packages of crackers and cookies. Loved the river and the on-site brewery.

Great location!
I loved that the property is right on river! The restaurant right next door was a special treat. The best fries I've ever had! There were a couple of issues with the camper which were handled immediately so all in all a good stay.

Fun location!
We really loved the location and all the staff we came in contact with were incredibly friendly. The restaurant was delicious and a great atmosphere. I did however wish there were some kid friendly food options. The RV itself was "renovated" but smelled funny (I'm particularly sensitive to things like that so it may not bother others). My young daughters loved the bunk beds but were terrified of the bathroom. A large cloud of tiny flies would occasionally fly out from inside the toilet when you flushed it. I thought they were exaggerating until on our last day it happened to me. 😱 There were ants in the RV so we had to be very careful to not leave open food out anywhere. The bathroom was the size of a lavatory on a plane. We didn't expect different but the ad should definitely not describe it as "spacious". Unless maybe you were comparing it to Stuart Little's bathroom. The check in and out process was great. We would love to return to the Saluda outdoor center, but we'll be checking out the tiny homes next time instead. I should note that we didn't let the staff know of the ants or flies. Not sure what they could've done to fix it, but by their friendly nature my guess is they would've been as helpful as they could be.

Absolutely unique
I'm new to "glamping", and I have to say I was happily surprised with the experience. This little camper was just picture perfect and the bed was a dream.

Sweet place
Nice camper, very comfortable and in a really nice setting. The coffee maker was a Kuerig, so bring your k cups vs. coffee and filters. It was too warm for a fire, but there was some wood. Not many people there prior to the tubing season, so it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was sufficient. If in the area again, I would stay there again. Katie was very responsive and helpful.

Convenient and enjoyable
There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 3, 5 and 8), and this glamper was perfect for us. We just needed a place to sleep, and the bunk area and separate bed made it feel like 2 separate rooms. The space by the river was a great place to walk our dog. We ate at 13 Stripes one night, which was extremely convenient and delicious. The kitchen area was easy enough to make breakfast in. Any issues we encountered were very promptly responded to. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and convinience of this location. Would definitely rent here again.

Quiet Stay
Nice place to stay right on the river, outside area is amazing. Our dog loved his walks and enjoyed just relaxing outside on his lead. Accommodations are appropriate, it is a camper (glamper). Main bed was very cozy and comfortable. Thank you.
