"I arrived late and wrote the facility while I kept ringing the doorbell for 5-10 minutes. No one responded. I waited outside for about another 5 minutes until another guest allowed me to walk in with her. I had luggage and was obviously not a likely burglar. No one was at reception. A few minutes later Edel walked in and registered me. The facility was OK, but there is no lock on the shared bedroom door and it is right across from reception. "The accommodation was good. Shared bathrooms were clean and so was the room. The only downside was neighbouring rooms playing videos loudly late into the night and with my room not being fully walled (i.e. walls were not ceiling height) so it made it difficult to sleep some nights. They need to enforce the quiet time rules more."

"I’ve stayed in 4 hostels in Singapore, but here was the cleanest and comfortable. Every staff were friendly and kindly. And close to the public transportation 2 lines SMRT, several bus stops that’s convenient. If you go to Vivo city or Sentosa island, you can get there takes about 10 minutes or so by bus. The weak point is it’s in level 3. I’d like to stay there again ◎"

"This hostel is in a pretty good location, close to a lot of restaurants, easy walk to the nearest subway station (Bugis), and within walking distance of some attractions. The hostel itself is pretty basic, the beds are pretty private with the curtains, which is nice, but there is no kitchen or main common area besides the rooftop deck. "Saw roaches crawling on my bed the first hour I was there. I didn’t sleep in my bed the first night. Requested a sheet & pillow change and she did. Kept my lights on 24/7 & sprayed bug spray on my bed to prevent anything else from crawling on there. "

"The hostel has a good location, with a lot of dining options within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and I found the hostel to be both clean and comfortable to stay in. Sadly, there was a problem with the Wifi during my stay, and it caused me some problems."

"A weight bench a one set of dumbbells is not a gym. I couldn’t vouch for access to the pool, because there was no one at reception during my checkin, checkout or stay. The signs say male showers are on each level but they are either on alternate levels. The showers are adequate but annoying that you have to exit the shower to turn them on. Suggestions, perhaps a shelf in the capsule to put charging devices on, and a towel. I thought towels were standard with ‘bedding supplied’ accommodation now!"

Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, an IHG Hotel

"Latest I have been checking in at an airport as thanks to the absolutely fantastic early check in service at Jewel, my luggage was gone and my boarding passes was in hand. I simply strolled from the hotel to my gate and was ready to fly in 30 minutes (less if you decided to run). So in the convenience stakes, this hotel cannot be rated any higher. The staff were immaculate in their service and attitude with their eagerness to assist in every way. The rooms were spacious and superbly comfortable. The nice big bathtub offered a great soak before bedding down in the king bed. Even the TV that was directly facing the bed was just the perfect sized for watching from that distance. The windows, which offered a great view of SIA aircraft taking off (if you are into that sort of thing) must be brick thick as the room was whisper quiet. The use of the pool in the lush garden was thwarted by the rain which was most unfortunate. The only downside is that the breakfast buffet was just run on the mill for the price. There was limited local favourites and all the dishes were just ho hum with nothing memorable except for the pandan dumplings."
