The cottage is situated in an extensive open garden (3.5 acres) of the highest standard. Guests are always welcome to stroll around, relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. The Ballycommane boulder-burial site and a pair of standing stones can also be discovered on the property. These important Bronze Age monuments are only a few paces away from the cottage. The property is located in idyllic and peaceful surroundings in a broad valley amidst the green rolling hills of West Cork. The famous Wild Atlantic Way passes through nearby Durrus, only 2 miles away. There are endless possibilities for outdoor activities, such as walking or touring along the nearby peninsulas of Mizen, Sheep's Head and Beara. There are also fine beaches in the vicinity and the Atlantic Ocean is only a stone's throw away. The nearby towns of Bantry and Skibbereen are also worth visiting, as are many small villages.
The owners also run a small B&B on the property. They are happy to answer any questions their guests may have and will assist with further information, but always respect the privacy of their guests.
