"Great affordable student accommodation. The space was exactly as advertised. The kitchen worked well, and i was able to prepare my own meals. Excellent wifi and plenty of outlets in the space. One of the best accommodations I've stayed in, and far better than even my own university housing."

"This modern, cozy apartment is fabulously located in town. We loved walking a few steps across the street to the indoor market hall and to Leonard’s delicious coffee house. The high end amenities, excellent beds and bedding and two bathrooms were luxurious. The view over the river is really special. Although it was a chilly day, we sat in the protected nook on the deck in the sun comfortably for hours. Chris was an absolutely amazing host with attention to detail and was always available to offer assistance and answer our questions. His restaurant recommendations were spot on. The location is amazing with quick access to the university and the walking path along the river as well as local shops and sights. ...

"We enjoyed our stay. The unit is within easy walking distance of the town, castle and cathedral. The only problem we had was to unlock the back door the key has to be turned anticlockwise 3 times - that took us a little while to work out."

"The smell of cigarette smoke hit you before got in front door. It had pervaded everything including the bedding so horrible sleeping in the beds. The kitchen was tatty and smelt strongly of curry. Many of the listed items were not in the apartment. It was so bad we moved out the next morning to a lovely clean smelling, fully equipped house we managed to find. Have phone and emailed Toast Lettings to complain and request a refund. No response! Do not stay here or use them would be my advice."

Beamish Hall Hotel, BW Premier Collection

Wow just wow

"An over night stay allowing us to have 2 days at Beamish museum nearby and have a taste of luxury in the apartment. Due to dietary needs we have difficulty finding places for us all to eat. This led us to look for apartments. The Charron apartment looked fab on the internet and was even more of a suprise when we checked in. Check in was friendly and quick, the grounds and hotel were absolutely fabulous. A bit of a walk up a few staircases (lift was being repaired), we were offered help with baggage, but the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) managed with no issues. The apartment is separate floor you enter into a massive kitchen diner area with working oven, hob and microwave. Then another door takes you to a hallway and bathroom. Further around the lounge (massive space 2 sofas and a chair plus TV loads of channels and all the apps. Then turn a corner and it's so massive both bedrooms are beautiful with one being an ensuite. We wish we had booked another night. Although it maybe costly the fact we could cook for ourselves have separate rooms for us and the kids makes it worth the price. "

"The rooms were clean and spacious lovely everything you needed shower had great water pressure super hot and the soaps and balms were lovely the food was deli ous and thestaff were friendly and helpful i highly recommend this hotel breakfast menu caters for everyone . "
