Pleasant fermette with outdoor swimming pool

This holiday home in the municipality of Durbuy features a spacious terrace with wide views. It is ideal for a family holiday. The accommodation is in the authentic village of Borlon, with plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. Visit Adventure Valley in Durbuy, discover the rich history of this medieval town and admire the view from the watchtower. You can go up on foot or by train. The region also offers interesting museums and impressive castles. This house offers the luxury of enjoying a heated outdoor pool from May to mid-September. In winter, you can keep warm by the wood-burning stove in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped and the games room is equipped with table football and a DVD player. In the cosy garden with fruit trees you can barbecue in summer.

The house was nice, the swimming pool was a nice extra. rooms are a bit small for 6 persons, if there is bad weather, like we had a few days, you can get cramped up inside. Some of the doors/rooms could use some improvement. for example, the door to the attic could not be closed. Like other reviews we saw that cleaning could also be a bit better in some places. the barbeque outside was not clean at all for example. Al together, we had a good weekend at the house, but it need some maintenance for us to visit again.

Het huis is mooi gelegen met vrij uitzicht aan de achterkant van het huis. Het heeft een grote tuin met een zwembad. Helaas was er bij onze aankomst (12 mei) niks aan het zwembad gedaan waardoor het zwembad erg smerig en niet verwarmd was en wij het niet hebben kunnen gebruiken. De woonkamer is klein maar gezellig met twee goede banken. Er is, anders dan ons was toegezegd, geen televisie in de woonkamer. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien met ruim bestek, borden en schaaltjes. Twee slaapkamers met 2 2-persoonsbedden. In 1 van de slaapkamers staat daarnaast ook een stapelbed. Een van de bedden gaf het gevoel alsof je niet recht lag. De schoonmaak liet op meerdere plekken te wensen over. Vooral het toilet beneden oogt vies met vreemde opgedroogd strepen op de muren en gele sporen op deur en plint. In een deel van het huis hing een vervelende penetrante geur wat bij ons op de keel (slijmvliezen) en ogen (prikkend) sloeg. Mogelijk veroorzaakt door stookolie? Ook in het toilet boven hing een vervelende geur. Er was geen toiletpapier aanwezig bij aankomst, houd daar rekening mee!

Mooi huis met veel ruimte. Het en der leek het huis ge-update ten opzichte van de foto’s. Opvallend was dat er alleen een tv op zolder was. En het huis is best gehorig. Vooral de tuin is erg mooi en groot. Het zwembad was natuurlijk heerlijk maar er was nog veel meer zoals een schommel, speel huisje, pingpong tafel en een groot voetbalveld met goal. Minpunt van de woning was het halen en brengen van de sleutel. Waarbij ook beddengoed en een gedeelte van de afval weggebracht moest worden. Dit is zeker met een auto die volgepakt is verre van ideaal. Glas kon 100 meter buiten het dorp worden weggegooid. Maar dat stond helaas nergens aangegeven. Dit kan absoluut beter.
