I like the location and that its not The Stater hotel. You gained a loyal guest after a terrible stay at the Stater.

This is a an historic hotel, which is nice, unless you are staying in the Palace wing. The Palace wing is not part of the General Palmer. It's a seperate building. We stayed in the Winter, and the heat cannot keep up with the many drafts coming from the windows and floors. The heater does keep the place very dry though. There is no room to walk. Literally 8 inches between our bed and the wall. There is no bedside table, one 18 x 24 coffee table and almost nowhere to set your bathroom stuff except the pedastal sinks. We had to unplug the television to make coffee, and to charge our phones. The staff were very nice and accomodating and parking was great. The room was not.

Walls are very thin and I was able to hear noises from other room. I couldn’t sleep all night, I complained to front desk middle of night but they dint bother to offer me another quiet room and we suffered all night. It was hell

We stayed here for a little get away. It was a beautiful hotel. The room was clean the bed was so comfortable. We had everything we needed. The cookies and tea/coffee was a nice little treat. The staff was lovely and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Victorian features of the hotel were beautiful and have been mixed in nicely with modern touches. The Executive suite had ample room and was comfortable for our two night stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the option of breakfast at the hotel, but there are tons of restaurants around for other meals. It was a great trip!

Property location is excellent, bed was comfy, room was big and comfortable. Except there is only one regular chair. Couch and another chair was almost like broken, so old and sinking. They definitely need upgrade those.( we stayed presidential sweet). Other than that we had great stay.

We loved the historical atmosphere and all the cool places to just relax --chairs, sofas and tables everywhere! We did NOT love the lights from the street shining in our windows with no way to block it! The room was very light all night long. We would love to stay here again but not if there aren't blocking curtains or shades. Also--a short note on the operation of the heating remote would be useful!
