Historic Farmhouse 30 minutes to DC / Annapolis. 4BR Large and Inviting, Zipline

Charming Historic Farmhouse Retreat in Southern Maryland – 4BR/3.5BA

Property Features:

This spacious home features 4 beautifully appointed bedrooms and 3.5 baths, including a classic, storybook-style half bath tucked under the stairs—a delightful nod to the home’s historic character. Built in 1790, this is true country living with all the quirks and charm that come with a historic home. If you love the authentic farmhouse feel, this is absolutely the place for you.

The kitchen is a chef’s dream, featuring a gas range with electric convection oven—perfect for everything from Sunday brunch to holiday feasts. It’s fully equipped to prepare and cook meals for large groups. You'll also enjoy two separate dining spaces: a formal dining room for special gatherings and a light-filled sunroom just off the kitchen, ideal for slow mornings and casual meals.

Step outside to explore a private walking path that winds through the woods—home to friendly goats, a tree swing, and a zipline for a bit of old-fashioned fun. At night, gather by the firepit under the stars for a truly magical countryside experience.

This property sits adjacent to our working flower farm, where you may spot goats, chickens, and our very friendly Australian Cattle Dog named Maggie Mae, who sometimes stops by to say hello. While the flower farm and old tobacco barn aren’t open to the public, don’t be shy—feel free to wave if you see us! We’re happy to provide goat snacks, fresh eggs, and of course, flowers, if you’d like a taste of the farm life during your stay.

This farmhouse was truly a labor of love, and like any project with deep roots and history, there have been a few hiccups along the way. We appreciate your patience with the fenced-in area to the left of the house, which is still an active work zone for the farm and contains a few items left from the previous owners that are in the process of being removed. But don’t worry—there’s plenty of other space to explore, relax, and enjoy all around the property.

Whether you're planning a family getaway, friends' weekend, or peaceful retreat, this farmhouse is the perfect setting to slow down and savor the moment.

Come experience the timeless charm—and unexpected delights—of this one-of-a-kind countryside gem. We can't wait to welcome you!
