Laurieknowe Coach House has a quiet and private location but is only a very short walk to all that the town centre has to offer. The town has many historical links to both Scotland’s bloody past through Robert the Bruce and more refined culture with figures such as Robert Burns, who lived, worked and in the town while only a 5 minute walk away is Moat Brae House which inspired Peter Pan’s creation, the house is now open to the public so that you can enjoy it’s history and fascination too. The River Nith runs through the town with attractive and peaceful walks and public parks.
The cottage is a new conversion from a former coach house and provides a luxurious holiday base fully equipped for quiet nights in after a day of exploring or if you would rather then there are many restaurants, Inns and other food outlets nearby.
Dumfries is well-placed to enjoy all kinds of opportunities for wildlife-watching, walking and hill-walking, visiting gardens and exploring castles and abbeys. There is a wide variety of locations to experience, including forests and coastal areas.
Laurieknowe Coach House accepts short breaks throughout the year with an any day arrival
