Sunshine Studio | Park Point Beach Access

Welcome to the Sunshine Studio, on the shores of Lake Superior.

This window filled studio apartment is on the lake side of Park Point and feels as if you are in a sparkling clean, well appointed, tree-house. The 14" skylight between the units filters light into the other attached unit, but is high enough to assure your privacy. The recently remodeled kitchen is fully stocked with your basic essentials and a cozy queen bed welcomes you from beach adventures, a day exploring, or a night of live music.

Ideally located a stone's throw away from Canal Park and the Aerial Lift Bridge, you're right in the center of Duluth's vibrant dining and entertainment scene, with an abundance of local shops to explore.

The Sunshine Studio offers the most breathtaking views and has the access you need! Behind the home you will find a pathway leading you to seven miles of sandy beach right in your backyard!

If your looking for some local exploration, there are some awesome sites you should definitely check out:

- Historic Canal Park: This beautiful home is also just a couple miles away from Historic Canal Park and Duluth's one of a kind Aerial Lift Bridge, making it just a quick drive to many fantastic restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries & more.
- Lake Superior Zoo: Check out the Lake Superior Zoo only a short 13 minute drive away. Lake Superior Zoo is an indoor/outdoor zoo with big cats, primates & a barnyard, plus tours on a mini train & a cafe.
- Spirit Mountain: Adventurers and Outdoors lovers check out Spirit Mountain a recreational mountain featuring wintertime downhill skiing & a summertime adventure park. Spirt Mountain is only a 15 minute drive from this beautiful home.

The primary form of communication, including check in information, will be through the booking platform and/or email. You will receive your check in information 1 day prior to your arrival date. Check in is at 4pm.

VACATION RENTAL HOUSE RULES

1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS a) All Guests (and any Visitors) must comply with all House Rules and any other instructions from the Property Manager during their stay; and b) Guests must notify the Property Manager of any disputes or complaints from neighbors as soon as reasonably practicable.

2. NOISE AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD a) This Vacation Rental is suitable for children of all ages! Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times, as well as any disturbance caused to other residents in the Neighborhood; b) Guests and Visitors must keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb the occupants of neighboring properties – especially during nighttime hours (10pm – 8am), and upon arrival and departure; c) Excessive noise is prohibited at all times and may result in termination of the vacation rental agreement, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges which may be deducted from the Security Deposit;

3. VISITORS a) Guests are allowed a maximum of 4 visitors at any time during their stay. b) Guests are responsible for ensuring maximum visitor numbers are not exceeded; and that visitors are complicit with these House Rules.

4. FUNCTIONS a) Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited at the Vacation Rental; and b) Any small gathering must comply with other rules set regarding Noise, the Neighborhood and Visitor numbers.

5. PARKING a) Guests and any visitors are to comply with parking regulations and other requirements set out by the property manger and show consideration to neighbors and other vehicles; please use the designated parking.

6. SECURITY a) Any time Guests leave the Vacation Rental, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed/locked to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage. b) Guests must switch off the lights, air conditioning, fans, electronics such as televisions when not in use to promote energy saving.

7. SMOKING a) Smoking is not permitted inside the Vacation Rental; and b) Cigarette butts must be disposed of properly (in large trash cans located outside property or off property all together) and not thrown on property grounds. Failure to do so will result in a deduction from the security deposit.

8. PETS are not permitted at the property.

9. DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES a) All Damages and Breakages must be reported to the Property Manager as soon as reasonably practicable. Failure to report them will likely result in a penalty deduction from the security deposit. And; b) To avoid Damages and Breakages, no furniture is to be moved from one room to another without prior agreement.

10. CHECK OUT ARRANGEMENTS a) Please be sure to lock all doors and leave both sets of keys back in the lockbox. Check out is at 10am - if you need a later checkout please contact me as soon as possible to make arrangements.

11. EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS: a) In the event of an emergency relating to the Vacation Rental, your emergency contact is: Heirloom Vacation Rentals 218-409-4885 b) In the event of all other emergencies please call 911.

12. COMPLIANCE a) Breach of any of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy as per the Rental Agreement. b) The Owner and Manager reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the Vacation Rental, any Guests or Visitors who refuse to follow these House Rules or who cause a nuisance to neighbors or other residents of the community.

If you want privacy, this isn’t it.
Very little privacy. We realized there were loads of windows going into this place, but what we didn’t realize were the quality of the curtains. No matter if lights were on or off, you could see through them. We actually debated running to the store to get a better one for over the door because of how paper thin it was. The property was also completely overgrown with weeds so to get to the stairs you’re pushing through weeds and overgrown grass. The property is not well kept. Last but not least, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. For over $800+ for a two night stay, I would’ve expected better across the board.

Keep lifestyle to yourself
Pulled up to property and the front yard was not landscaped and had LGBTQ flag, a black lives matter, women's rights are human rights, science is real, love is love, no human is illegal, kindness is everything sign. I don't care what you believe or how you live your lives, just don't need it to be shoved down my throat. A rental should NOT be advertising anything. This should be a place where everyone should feel comfortable. If signs are going to be put out in the yard, put all the signs out. Heterosexual flag, police lives matter, save our children flag, international flag, humane society flag, ect. Otherwise, the rental was very clean.
