"Some of the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff I have experienced. Paula greeted me at my late arrival and made sure I had everything I needed both at check in and throughout my stay, including some great excursions. The ever present bar and restaurant crew Elias and Harim were always there with recommendations and friendly conversation. Be it I had to leave early for a tour or needed advice on bars to visit while in town. Rangel, Kevin, Maria and Helen were busy keeping the room clean and the property well kept. If you visit be sure to go see the turtles in the wishing well and tell them hi. "

"Nice comfortable rooms and relaxing pool. Great to have the restaurant there. It's only $10 to take a taxi from the center of San Ignacio. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Booked tours and a ride to the airport for me. Beautiful property. Wish they would plant more trees by the road to drown the noise some. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Our "cabin" was beautiful! It was a large room with a sitting area and very comfortable bed! The howler monkeys usually sounded a couple times a day. Lovely location on the river and the pools were very refreshing. Carmen was a great host and very attentive. Definitely recommend!"

"The staff and facilities were amazing. We did a guided tour nearly every day. Every guide was phenomenal - knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Everything you could ask for. The river is so relaxing we could have stayed there all day and would have been thrilled. Cannot recommend enough. "

"My 5 night stay at the West House was fantastic. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. They were happy to give recommendations or call ahead to set a dinner reservation for you.The room was spotless and the king bed was super comfortable. Water pressure and temperature were great in the shower. They offered a filtered water station out in the hall. This hotel is right on the outskirts of the little pedestrian business area, less than a 5 minute walk. This is as close to a 5 star experience as you can get in San Ignacio without staying at one of the resorts."

"The cabana was clean, tidy and comfortable. We especially liked the grass roof and screen porch with hammock - and tropical birds in the trees next to our place. Incredible view of San Ignacio below!!! Employees at the service desk were friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar had good food and drinks - wait staff very friendly and courteous! Overall, an excellent stay while visiting Tikal National Park in Guatemala!"

"Was doable for us as we were only staying for two nights. No fridge in room but had a communal fridge behind front desk and microwave. Had smart tv in room but couldn’t find any apps that worked but just signed in to my Netflix account. The staff was awesome and accommodating. Set in the middle of town where the market, restaurants, and nightlife. I would recommend. "
