Near Zion & Bryce Nat'l Parks! Beautiful cabin, lovely, cool mountain location!

It's COOL on our mountain! Come enjoy an array of outdoor activities - hiking, cycling, ATV'ing, swimming, fishing, climbing. You name it! But you can also visit our wonderful National Parks - we're close to both Bryce and Zion - or some or the other local wonders, such as Cedar Breaks, Grand Staircase-Escalante NM, or Kodachrome or Coral Pink Sands State Parks. Or make a day-trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, or even to Capitol Reef National Park! No place is more spectacular than SW Utah, and nothing is as relaxing and comfy as Red Pines Lodge cabin - a great place to come back to after a fun day exploring the area. For some peaceful time to enjoy nature, or go to the Parks, or whatever your heart can dream up.

You can stay cool, calm and relaxed - or cozy and relaxed, and in winter, watching the snow - on Cedar Mountain, in beautiful Duck Creek, and in our beautiful cabin!
You can cook up fantastic meals in the spacious and very well equipped kitchen – or grill your favorite steak on the gas grill on the deck. Making s’mores and memories awaits you around the great fire pit (except in winter - the fire pit will be snowed under!). And if you must stay plugged into the world, wireless internet and lots of premium TV is here too. All you will lack at Red Pines cabin is enough time to see all the incredible sites that await you here! Come appreciate Duck Creek - and our glorious National Parks - in the summer, winter, or fall! Year-round beauty and fun. Read on for more details......

This light-filled and airy cabin, Red Pines Lodge, radiates hospitality and comfort, and is the essence of 'roughing it in style'. The cabin is situated in a beautiful forest of tall Ponderosa pines, firs, and aspens, just a mile from the heart of Duck Creek Village. Outside you’ll appreciate the rustic log construction, and plenty of parking. The enormous wrap-around covered deck features a gas grill, dining for 6, and seating for all to enjoy the cool breezes, glimpses of the Pink Cliffs, or morning coffee while watching the sun rise. In the evening, sit around the backyard firepit on log benches, and make s'mores and memories under the stars.

Inside, you’ll love the tongue and groove knotty pine walls throughout the house, as well as the columns and railings made from native aspen. Cathedral windows bathe the Great Room in light. Here you can enjoy a cozy fire in the wood stove that sits on its stone hearth, while you relax with a book, TV, or surround-sound music. Also on the Main Level you’ll find the out-sized and well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and a gas range for the gourmet cook; the Dining area with seating for 6-8. There a pretty guest bedroom, the Aspen Room, with a queen bed and private door onto the deck. And a and a full bath rounds out the layout of the main level of the cabin.

On the upper level is the huge Master Suite, with its very large en suite bath including a tiled jetted tub, and a separate shower. Toilet and sink too, of course!

Also on the upper level a pretty loft area (which makes a great extra bedroom with the inflatable bed) overlooking the Great Room. There's also a desk/work area set up in case you need to use your laptop.

On the bottom level is a large and comfy Family Room with tv and lots of seating, and access to the outside patio area. Also on this lower level is the third bedroom (the Buckaroo Room) with two twin beds; a full bath; and the laundry room with washer and dryer.

This cabin can sleep 10 people, using the two queen bedrooms, two twin beds, a queen sofa sleeper in both the Great Room and the downstairs family room. Two additional are possible using a comfortable queen-size inflatable bed that can go anywhere (although we recommend this for children rather than adults). Any occupancy over 8, however, must be approved by the owner prior to rental. Official maximum occupancy is 8, including all children. With three full baths, one on each level of the cabin, there is plenty of access for all. Red Pines Lodge is perfect for a family gathering or a group of friends.

Also note: We have a limit on the number of vehicles which can be on the property. The vehicle limit is 3, with any trailer counting as a vehicle. You may not park a vehicle on any other property without that property owner's permission.

The cabin sits on a level, forested lot, with easy year-round access. National Forest land is only a couple of hundred yards away, and ATV and snowmobile trails are right at hand. Hiking, fishing, biking, skiing, and a myriad of other outdoor activities are all in close proximity as well. Duck Creek and the surrounding area are truly a natural outdoor paradise.

We do not rent to “house parties” or unruly groups. We welcome those who will respect our cabin, and the natural environment of Cedar Mountain.

Further Details - And Things to Do: Hiking, bicycling, fishing, hunting, ATV fun, snowmobiling, skiing, and horseback riding are just a few of the activities in the area. Aspen Mirror Lake and Duck Creek Pond, popular fishing spots for all ages, are just outside Duck Creek Village and within minutes of the cabin. Navajo Lake, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian Head Ski and Summer Resort, and Lake Panguitch are all a short drive away. The many marvels of Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Monument are each less than 45 minutes away. And only a little further away are such amazing spots as The Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (about 2 hours to the North Rim Lodge and Bright Angel), and Capital Reef National Park. For antique shopping and theater, visit Cedar City (30 mile drive), renowned for its annual Utah Shakespeare Festival in summer and early fall, held on the lovely campus of Southern Utah University.

Places to Go: Duck Creek Village is 1.5 miles to the west of the cabin. Distances from Duck Creek Village to: Aspen Mirror Lake 1/4 mile; Brian Head 23 miles; Bryce Canyon NP 42 miles; Zion Natl Park 45 miles; Cascade Falls 4 miles; Cedar Breaks NM 15 miles; Cedar City / I-15 29 miles; Escalante-Grand Staircase NM (Cannonville entrance) 57 miles; Highway 89, 8 miles; Kanab 49 miles; Las Vegas 198 miles; Mammoth Cave 5.5 miles; Navajo Lake 7.5 miles; Panguitch Lake 32 miles

Just ask us about things to do and places to see in the area. We enjoy being your 'tour guide', and we keep lots of guide books and information in the cabin for your use. Welcome to Duck Creek, and welcome to Red Pines Lodge!

Cabin in the woods.
Our family had an amazing Thanksgiving week at this cabin. We have previously stayed at one of the owners cabins and loved it as well. Cabin is very clean and stocked with everything one could possibly need. Can’t wait to return in the future.

Great cabin
We really enjoyed our stay, especially being able to use the wood burning stove. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The only thing I would say is that it wasn't super clean. We would find white dog hairs on the towels/rugs, so for it not being dog friendly, I was a little surprised. But it was very comfortable and it didn't bother us enough to make a big deal about it. We will definitely be back!

Amazing
We had a very relaxing vacation here at the cabin. The multi level floors were perfect for my teenager that likes to be a hermit. It was very clean. The amenities were above and beyond; everything that you could think of for kitchen appliances and tools, there was a small pile of fire wood waiting at the front door for the fireplace, the fire pit was set up real nice. The grill was perfect for having dinner on the front porch. I loved the little touches, like the candles and the bird feeders on the porch; that made drinking my coffee in the mornings very nice. The cabin was close, but far enough away, to the little village if you just happen to forget something. I thought it was a convenient location to visit Bryce and Zion NPs. I would recommend this cabin to anyone as long as you wouldn't have trouble with the stairs.

AWESOME Cabin!
This cabin (and it's owners) deserve more than 5 stars! Everything was immaculate, operational, and cozy. The owners had touches and amenities rarely found in expensive hotels. The few questions we had were immediately responded to via text, or were already included in their rental instructions. I never leave ratings, but this cabin/rental is too good to pass up!

Delightful
A terrific cabin. A wonderful spot to come back to after a long day of hiking. The kitchen was fully equipped to make big dinners and there was ample seating. My group had a great time and really could not have been more impressed. Jan was a delight as an owner, super friendly and helpful, providing pages full of useful information such as places to grocery shop, directions, hiking suggestions, and more! Would happily return if I make it back to the area!

We loved this home it was perfect. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The area was so quite. The home was so clean and loved all the extras for sleeping arrangements. They really thought of everything. They had fans and space heaters we didn't have to use a fan app. We enjoyed it very much so. Everything was perfect.

Beautiful Cabin for Zion and Bryce Canyon Adventures
This is a beautiful cabin that exceeded our expectations. It is a great central location for not only getting to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, but also so many other sights in the area. The owners provided a lot of very helpful information about the area before our arrival. The cabin is impeccably maintained and the owners thought of every detail, so you can arrive, relax and enjoy your time here. We have rented numerous places over the years and this was one of the cleanest and best outfitted properties we have stayed in. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time here! We would absolutely stay here again and will not hesitate to recommend it to our friends.

Beautiful and comfortable, you'll be pleased!
We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in the cabin this August. Exceeded expectations at every step: the cabin is spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortable, very clean. The kitchen is bigger and better quipped than most people's home. Easy drive to Bryce, Zion, Cedar breaks, the caves. The children did not want to leave. If you're visiting So Utah and this place is open, jump on it, you'll be glad you did. Mike, Boston

Beautiful cabin in a perfect location
Beautiful quiet cabin, perfect location for exploring the area - we hiked in Zion and Bryce Canyon and also enjoyed walking near the village where there was still snow on the ground. The cabin is well equipped, clean and comfortable with plenty of space and sitting areas for our family of 4 (having 3 bathrooms was perfect travelling with 2 teenage daughters!). The kitchen had a wide variety of spices and basics available for use and all the dinnerware etc. that we needed . The owners sent pages of useful information - best places to hike, where to shop and recommendations on things to do in the area which was our "guide" for the duration of the stay and proved invaluable. We will definitely return and hopefully be able to stay for longer than a few days!

Lovely cabin with a great fire pit area
Great cabin for Christmas, stayed with all my family, six adults and two children. The kitchen was great and filled with all we needed to cook every night The family area was cost for movies The cabin was very clean We spent every night by the fire pit it was amazing Thankfully we took our own s’mores sticks. The snow was amazing and it snowed all day Christmas Day so we stayed in and sat together by the beautiful wood fire. The village wasn’t far and is so quaint Jan was available for any questions It was a great trip and we would stay again. Only downside was the WiFi struggled with us all but thankfully at&t service was strong. Thanks Jan for letting us stay in your lovely cabin

Fantastic
We had an amazing time, it was so nice to get away from the chaos of life, and simply rest and relax. It was so nice to be close to everything we as a family enjoy doing, hiking, fishing and simply sitting out by the fire talking. When all the fun was done it was nice to go get cleaned up and simply relax. Anything you could think of was there at the cabin when it came to preparing food, we didn't really have to bring anything but the food. Our parents came down and were equally impressed and pleased with how nice everything was. Jan was so easy to work with and was so accommodating. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.
