Mellow Meadows, Private Cabin, 3bdrm/2bath with fireplace & fire pit

Located in Duck Creek Village, Utah, the Mellow Mountain Cabin provides you with luxurious accommodations in a mountain setting. Whether you are searching for a weekend retreat for just you and your spouse, or a place to hold a small family getaway.

There's plenty of viewing that can be done as you sit by the fireplace and take advantage of the large windows that allow you to gaze into the heavens at night.

The cabin was recently constructed and offers all of the comforts of home including: large flat screen TVs, wireless internet, a full kitchen, propnae BBQ grill, patio table set, gas fireplace, large deck and patio, and plenty of beds and couches to accommodate everyone in your group under one roof and sleep up to 8 people. The main level  is surrounded by large windows so that you are able to take advantage of the wonderful scenery that abounds in Duck Creek Pines and the beautiful wildlife that surrounds this area.

Due to the location in a mountainous setting, the activities and local attractions vary depending on the season. In the winter, snowmobiling is extremely popular and connects you to hundreds of miles of trails. Brian Head ski resort is also about 30 minutes away. In the summer, ATVs and motorcycles become the preferred mode of transportation and unlock seemingly endless territory to explore. Regardless of the activity, this cabin provides you with an inviting refuge to wind down in front of the fire in the winter or to watch the sunset while relaxing on the deck after a summer BBQ.

The cabin is especially popular with people who are looking to escape the busy city atmosphere and spend some time in the breathtaking national parks of southern Utah. Conveniently located just over 3 hours from Las Vegas and under 4 hours from Provo, Utah, the location puts you within an hour of Cedar Breaks Point, Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon National Park.

Perfect park access
Loved the property. Great location very peaceful & beautiful neighborhood. Only concern was having to drive to take garbage out. That should be included with our stay.

Awesome place
Really enjoyed this cabin. Hosts were great and resolved the only issue we had with the tv in a quick manner. Will definitely utilize the cabin if available next time we’re in the area.

It was as advertised
The property was nice. We found remnants of the previous renters in some areas so the cleaner needs to pay closer attention to detail. I happend to pick the hottest day of the year there, the outside temp was 90 and the inside temp of the house was 93. There is no air conditioning but fans were left to help move air. Other than that it was a nice place.

Nice for the Price
We had a great time! The cabin is spacious and relaxing. We love Duck Creek and spend at least three weeks a year here. This is the fifth cabin we have rented and I would say it’s pretty high on the list to re-rent next time. With that said, the floors in the kitchen were pretty dirty when we arrived (popcorn kernels, dirt, leaves) but we quickly cleaned up ourselves as to not be charged additional for dirty floors. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared to make a lot of trips to get your things inside if staying longer than a few days.

Property management company never sent the access key code to door upon check in. I had to call the number they listed and no one answered. When I finally called they gave some system error excuse. My family had to sit in the rain while waiting and they didn’t care. The house was amazing but the company running it sucked. Halfway through my trip they also changed the access code to the door and didn’t notify us.

Beautiful cabin but horrible property manager
First, this cabin is beautiful. It has a great location and the cabin was wonderfully equipped. After check in everything went downhill. We arrived and immediately noticed the thermostat was not working. The temperature in the cabin was 54 degrees. The first text to the property manager was at 5:41 P.M. to let them know the heat was not working. After some back and forth the property manager stated they would attempt to get maintenance to the property at 7:06 P.M. At 9:29 we were told maintenance was on the way. He arrived at approximately 10:45 and left a little after midnight. When he left, he told us what was wrong with the heater and they would try to get the part the next day. He also told us that if they were unable to get the part space heaters would be brought to us. The next day, I text the property manager to get an update on the part for the heater at 11:27 A.M. At 12:07 I was told they were still trying to get the part. At 5:00 P.M. I had not heard anything so sent another text. Their response was they were still trying to get the part. At 7:14 I sent another text expressing my frustration. At this point, the upstairs of the cabin had warmed to 71 degrees using a gas fireplace and the oven. My teenagers were sleeping on the couches because the downstairs bedrooms were still around 52 degrees. The response was an apology for the inconvenience and the manager would make another follow up. At 7:38 I received a text saying they could move us to another cabin and I asked for a link to the property. At 8:35 I sent a text asking about the other property and was told it was emailed to me. I specifically booked this cabin due to the number of bedrooms, available space, and amenities of this cabin. The cabin we were offered to be moved to was a 600 square foot one bedroom, one bathroom cabin. At this point, the living room and kitchen area of our cabin was warmed up to 73 degrees and manageable if we didn't use the downstairs. The next text I received from the property manager was the next day at 12:23 asking if were checking out early and that was the last text. Space heaters were never delivered. We loved the cabin however I will never rent another property that is managed by Family Time Vacation Rentals. It truly seemed like I was bothering them asking for updates about getting the heater fixed in the winter. I asked for contact from the owners and was simply told they were aware of the situation.
