The townhouse was conveniently located in the part of Dubuque that we wanted to visit. It was a short walk to restaurants, the Mississippi River Museum and other venues in that area. The patio was a nice place to sit and have coffee in the morning.

Ski weekend with my cousins at sundown. It was everything we wanted. Aside from parking being initially confusing (but quickly resolved), no complaints! Highly recommend staying here if you are traveling to Dubuque!

Eagle watching in Dubuque
A group of four of us ventured to Dubuque to see the eagles around the area. The property we chose was perfect and very well maintained, close to downtown, and easy to find. Other than the winter snowstorm which deterred our eagle sitings, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Dubuque Trip
When we arrived we found the house to be very cozy and clean. There was a bit of a smell though that we all noticed. Not sure if it was the basement do to being an old building or if it was the furnace being turned on. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us and we didn't need for anything in the home. Our only complaint which I did share with the home owner after our visit was that the both beds were EXTREMELY hard. My husband and I have a firm mattress at home and are used to it, but this was a LOT more firm then ours. The homeowner after I had told him that they were to firm. Thanked us for letting him know, because of course he had never slept on them. He mentioned that he had mattress pads with cushion that he could add to the beds. Over all our stay in Dubuque was quite pleasant. Thank you for opening your home to us.

We have stayed in many VRBO properties before. We were dismayed that the property lacks such basic amenities as tissue, napkins, a plunger in the event it is needed. There was an abundance of bath towels but 3 washcloths and two hand towels. VRBO's we have stayed in supply bar soap, shampoo, shower wash, and lotion; this had none. A posting asked us to remove our shoes so as to protect the floors and honestly the bottoms of my shoes had less dirt on them than did my feet after walking on the hardwood. The tub upstairs drains slowly. I have always used laundry facilities in other properties. The washer door was wet possibly from condensation when I opened it but I could not get it to function. Posting instructions would have been helpful. I agree with other postings that the patio area needs to be cleaned in order to be usable and the sliding screen on the patio needs repair. The surrounding area is lovely and the space in the home is more than adequate. Communication with Jeff was easy. However due to lack of basic amenities as described above we would not stay here again.

Perfect stay in downtown Dubuque
This property if perfectly situated in Dubuque. The home was clean, well decorated, and had everything we could need. Instructions to access the home and to park were simple and the house was exactly as described. Walkable to local restaurants, breweries, and shops, or for an evening stroll. It was very quiet as well. We had a wonderful visit and would definitely stay again.
