The staff were friendly.
The room was warm, clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the bay. However there was one complementary biscuit to share between two people and the complementary chocolates were discoloured.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic, no private space between tables and not enough tables, guest's
queueing on the stairs to get in, there being no free tables.
Tea coffee and toast were promptly served, but when we went up for breakfast cereal we came back to find that the table had been cleared, our glasses of fruit juice, full pots of tea and coffee, side plates and both cups and side plates which we hadn’t even used. It was bizarre. Surely it should have been obvious that they weren’t ready for clearing?!
With no cutlery to eat with, having asked twice for these to be replaced it took 5 minutes for this to happen, porridge cooling all the while.
The cooked breakfast dishes were poorly stocked, indeed the bacon and the scrambled eggs when I got back to my table, were cold.
Others were experiencing similar issues.
They were obviously having a bad day, but it wouldn’t entice me back again.
Staff seemed overwhelmed to cope with the volume of guests, both in table service and kitchen to provide adequate food supplies and glasses etc.
