Starting with the very friendly, and accommodating front desk staff, we felt immediately welcome and were guided well to afternoon brunch/ lunch options nearby.
Emma happily took our bags for storage as rooms were being cleaned. We arrived on a Sunday late morning and we were able to use the guest bathrooms to freshen up a bit after long flights, return a few hours later. Voila! we came back upstairs and, a room Emma liked for us had come available so we were able to settle in early -- 3rd floor, "up from the street noise at night" as the Christmas season festivities were going on.
Lovely room, not huge but completely appointed with all one should need. Thick nice towels, remodeled & fresh bath. Very comfortable and, yes quiet.
We like the street noise/ hum but, once one closes the windows (on all floors I believe) that noise is barely heard, if at all.
We stayed 3 nights, traveled off for 3 nights and then returned for the last day/ night to Dublin. Originally were booked in a different hotel for that Saturday however, hotel staff remembered that we had asked, they received a cancellation - contacted us immediately. Parking garage right across St.!
The Drury is right in a fun shopping area with many boutiques and a shopping mall (if you like that), a nice walk to St Patricks,Trinity College,Guinness Storehouse (15- 30 min for those), many fun pubs, St Stephens Green only blocks away. All along, one is enjoying sights, architecture and your choice of cuisine!
