"The Meadow View Farmhouse was a dream come true. Eamonn was an awesome host. He met us at the house with a wealth of information about the area and even booked us a visit to a local castle viewing. The attention to detail that he has put into refurbishing this old farmhouse is phenomenal. The views surrounding the house were spectacular! We even got to experience a local farmer moving his cattle from one pasture to another on the road in front of the house. A true Irish gem and we will...

"This little apartment was wonderful - cozy, clean and well-appointed with everything you could want or need and spacious enough to really spread out. By American standards the bathrooms are great and there was a king-sized bed! We really appreciated being able to do some laundry. The town of Silvermines is very quiet (only one pub that doesn't serve food, but is a hoot - my husband had a great time chatting with people). "The property was better than described, being large, comfortable and with wonderful views. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need. Jeanette and Steve, the hosts, are delightful, being very welcoming and helpful. The area is new to us and we were surprised how close everything was and how much we enjoyed it. "The cottage was very comfortable. It had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The location was central to all the places we visited. We enjoyed our daily drives through the countryside and having a relaxing place to stay when we returned each evening. On our final day, we enjoyed touring the local area and found that there was plenty to do in or near Mountshannon. It was nice taking a break from driving. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early...

"This has everything you need, from the kitchen to bathroom towels, and even more. The house is immaculate, cozy, and perfect for relaxing or seeing tourist attractions around the area. It's centrally located for all the major attractions around the south central and southern west coast of Ireland. The parking is abundant, and there are 2 pubs located just doors away. It lacks nothing!"

Situated on the outskirts of Mountshannon, you do need transport, but with car in hand you will be able to visit the highlights of the region. just bare in mind local 'R' roads can be narrow with high hedges, and meeting commercial traffic might test your nerves. "From the minute we stepped foot into this property, we felt at home. We were met with sparkling clean accommodations, breathtaking views, a bowl of fruit on the table, and coffee and teabags in the counter! The rooms were all comfortable and attractive, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, tea pots, coffee press, sugar, spices, etc. We had a wonderful holiday at Shannon View, and recommend it highly! "Just 50km from Galway and in the countryside, this home was a wonderful base for explorations from Connemara down to Limerick. We could have fared further but for lack of time. The home is quite charming, Brid gave us excellent recommendations for nearby eateries and had stocked the home with information useful to tourists. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who is considering a visit while the home is available. "

"There is a large public playground across the street from the hotel. Live music in the attached pub, but it also wasn’t so loud that it would be audible in the room. Leisure centre had a pool and a gym. The gym is small but well appointed. We had the breakfast included and it had a good selection of Irish breakfast options and cold options like cereals and pastries. It is entirely walkable from the bus station and to all of the options around Gort. It would make a good base from which to visit Galway City and the Burren without dealing with Galway traffic. Good for families. Our room had one queen bed and two twin beds. "
