Eh...hotel could use an update
Room was dingy and old but towels and sheets were clean. Good breakfast. Quiet surroundings made for a good night's sleep.

We were impressed with the staff as they were at all time very helpful and friendly. At breakfast in the morning they always welcome us to a table and made sure we were attended to. Many thanks you have great staff.

Good Hotel in a quiet zone
The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is a good value for the price. The only inconvenience is it's a bit far from the center and the Main Train Station. Although there is a tram nearby that connects everything. There is basically nothing around the hotel.

Nice hotel but not much near by
Good room but with no AC (sort of an issue in July) with friendly and very helpful staff who spoke English. Reasonable price but location was far from the city center. Did offer bike rentals for 9 Euro/day. Bikes were very good. Room was clean and comfortable.

Rooms are fine- clean and basic. Hotel is in good location - moderate walk from train station and old city. Lack of AC is a problem when weather is hot. Breakfast is extra, and quite pricey for what is offered. No café or restaurant on premises or close by. Desk service is generally good.

Quiet, Good Value
Exceptionally helpful staff. I arrived early in the morning and asked to leave my bags to go explore the city, and while that would have been more than fine, they checked to see if my room might already be clean - and to my delight, it was! There was also no trouble leaving my bags with them after checkout. The hotel is not too far from the main train station, but far enough away to be quiet at night. Easy access to public transportation.

Good economy hotel
A good basic hotel for a reasonable price. Staff very polite and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable, with minibar, and TV. Free Wifi - request access code from reception. Breakfast available, but no restaurant for evening meals. Bar does light snacks (and good beer!). About 15 mins walk straight down the road (Strehlender Strasse) from the main station, but there is a tram stop (Lenneplatz) less than 5 minutes walk in an adjacent street on the other side of the railway line; from there 5-10 minutes into the city centre. Good for anyone who wants a no-frills hotel at reasonable cost, fairly close to the centre and main transport.

Great location and wonderful customer service
This hotel is close to the central train station (about 15 min walk) situated in part of the university area. Very quiet neighbourhood, though a little industrial. Receptionists were bilingual, so checking in was no problem, and they remember me and which room I was in, so I feel I will definitely go back. Rooms were a little dated, I was given a family room with sofa bed for just me! But the twin beds sucked you into th mattress - once you were in, it was a struggle to get back out again. Overall, very pleased with my visit

Decent price and location to the tourist areas of Dresden. About a minute walk from the nearest tram/bus station. Staff was nice and friendly. Room was nice. Clean and tidy and the beds were comfy. Only one problem - bathroom smelled absolutely horrible, no idea where this smell came from but it was like walking into a sewer - this is the reason for poor rating on rooms. We bought the 10 dollar breakfast which was your normal German cuisine - breads with cheese and meats and other things like eggs and sausage. Overall a nice hotel except for my rooms small problem, would recommend.

What Better Way...
After a busy and full day touring the Christmas Markets and sightseeing, it was great to get into the hotel and relax. Finishing off the day with a drink in the bar was superb. The staff were warm and friendly - even with the little German we could speak, and so patient when we tried.

Was okay. A little bit of a trek from the train station, especially with luggage. But I should have taken a taxi. It is within five minutes walking distance to the tram station which takes you to the city's center. The staff was very helpful.

Convenient location to pick up the Tram.
The rooms were unbearably hot. Made sleeping very difficult. Our room was above the street were an umbrella/table were set up for smokers or for having a drink. Made for a very loud evening(past midnight) and my husband was tempted to dump water out the window. Rooms were nothing like picture and shower of one of our rooms leaked so badly all the towels were put on the floor to soak up the standing water. Management needs to keep some fans on hand to alleviate how hot the rooms are. Would not stay again. As far as the designation of "old town" maybe true but on the very outer edge of.

Good location to catch the train at the main station. We used it also to visit the Grosse Garten and attend a concert and it was quite convenient for that. Staff were helpful and spoke good English.
