This unit is our couples' go-to spot. Ever After features a queen bed, living area, full kitchen, bathtub, TV, Gas Stove (fireplace), private balcony with hot tub, and the most beautiful view of the Big Thompson River. You have full access to the river, however you do need a fishing license. Free parking is available on the property. This cottage has one of the best fishing sites in the area ( told to us by fishing guides ) Wi-Fi is available however, in the canyon service is not the best it may go in and out at times we have a studio that sleeps 2 behind the kozy kove cabin it can be added to your reservation for an additional fee message us for more details

The cottage was clean and welcoming when we arrived! The scenery is beautiful and the hot tub is awesome also!! Wendy was very accommodating and helpful when we needed her. We had a great stay!

At Wendys ever after cottage
We had an amazing stay, it was in excellent proximity to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. It was super clean with everything we needed. The hot tub and the amazing close up view of the flowing river were the best part. We would definitely stay here again.

Anniversary stay
We spent our 30th anniversary at this lovely cabin. Had such a great time at the national park and Estes Park. Would definitely recommend and go back. The back deck with the river and jacuzzi were just such a bonus! Had a nice visit from several elk while there.

Great location
Great location in the canyon. Everything was as expected in the cabin. Felt very much at home and relaxed during our three night stay. Hot tub makes this a five star but can’t beat the beautiful sound of the big Thompson river out the back. Great fishing location. Owners showed great care for the property and had excellent communication with the booking. Would stay again.

You can fish from your balcony.
Location was close to Estes Park. Just far enough out of town. The room isnt fancy but you can fish off the back deck. The hot tub worked properly. If you are staying extended days you might need to flag down the cleaning lady and ask for replcement towels. She was very nice. The owners were easy to contact. Did i mention you can fish from the back deck? Cell phone service can be spotty but it wasnt terrible. Ultimately we enjoyed our stay.

Quaint and Comfortable
We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. We did struggle to find it with the address on VRBO but eventually found it. It is right on the river with a hot tub. The hot tub was everything we hoped for and more. It was hot with great views. It had just enough space for the two of us and was the perfect distance from town. We didn't get lucky enough to see an elk on the river and the sound of the hwy was easily drowned out with a fan. My only complaint would be the no A.C. as it was 95° the first day of our trip. Ans on the knit picky side we also could have used a few more towels being there a week with no laundry access and the decor could use updating. But we will definitely be staying here again. We loved it and it was well worth it to be on the river.

Fabulous back porch view!
Wendy's Cottage (Ever After) was a very comfortable cabin with an amazing back porch view overlooking a beautiful mountain river, complete with the sounds of water rushing over rocks and vistas of mountains in the distance. It was very conveniently located within minutes of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Other reviewers mention the highway "noise", but it did not seem very loud and was more than compensated by the location of the cabin along this small highway running through a gorge. It was not isolated, but certainly did not feel crowded by the surrounding properties. It was also wonderful having a hot tub on the back porch. The only downside was that it was very small and had no convenient space to leave an open suitcase. The host, Wendy, was wonderful and very gracious, answering all my questions when I contacted her. I would stay there again.

Anniversary Getaway
My husband and I went to Estes park for our honeymoon 34 years ago. We returned 34 years later to a cozy cottage. It was perfect to reconnect. We have been working long hours and this was great to just to relax and not worry about things. The hot tub was used every night and sometimes in the morning. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the river. It was perfect for a couple. We are breakfast there every morning. And made a couple evening meals. Had a couple of picnic lunches while in the rocky mountain national forest. Seen deer, elk, and even a bear in the forest. The ranger said it was rare because there are only 25 total in the park. Enjoyed many things Ariel tram, Stanley hotel ghost tour. My husband seen a ghost Eddie he was a maintenance man. And shopping. Nice place to come back to after a day of activities. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The igniter for the pilot lite on the main heat source doesn't work. Had to take apart the fireplace to manually light it. Luckily i had a lighter in my truck because there was none to be found in the cabin. Took about 2 hours after we got there before we got the building to a comfortable temperature even with the electric space heater in the bedroom. Half the light bulbs in there dont work or flash on and off. Broken floor tiles hidden underneath rugs.Great day time hot tub, horrible after dark, there are no working lights on the patio by the hot tub so you cant see what your doing getting in or out. Cleqning company also left their cleaning supplies on the bathroom counter. My favorite part was my check out time said 11am and we had the two cleaning ladys show up at 10:30am and try to walk inside while we were still packing up all our stuff. Will definitely not stay here again.

1 night wasn’t enough
My wife and I book this jacuzzi suite for a 1 day getaway. We really enjoying the riverside jacuzzi under the stars. We wish we had more time at this cute little cabin and we’re looking forward to our next trip. Thanks again to our hosts we had some cell phone internet issues. If it’s your first visit I’d recommend taking a couple screenshots just in case.

Lot to enjoy
My wife and I spent our 20th anniversary here. Loved that we were out of town but still close to everything. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay again if f visiting Estes Park.

Disappointing stay
Location was ok. Right on the Big Thompson River. Nice to just walk out and fish. Cabin seemed poorly maintained however . When we arrived the coffee pot was dirty. Several floor tiles were loose. Numerous light bulbs were burnt out, Fireplace is broken so when it got cold so we had to use a space heater, Hot tub stopped working during our stay. Also there’s no AC in this cabin only a box fan and since it’s near the highway you get a lot of road noise with the windows open. Spoke with someone from Texas staying in another cabin who said that his cabin was supposed to have a hot tub and there wasn’t even one there, so I guess we were lucky. Not completely horrible but it could have been and should have been so much better.
