"It was a one night stop over while travelling from south to north. We were upgraded to a lovely room. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Weather very disappointing, obviously no fault of the hotel."

"Overall a nice stay, room is clean and comfortable and the staff are lovely, really polite and helpful. It's only lost a star for me because the gym isn't really a gym, it's a treadmill and cross trainer in reception but the treadmill wasn't even working during my stay. Also it would have been helpful for the hotel to provide instructions on where the parking is as I struggled to locate it, and this made arrival to the hotel a little stressful."

Breakfast was also delicious, and the sound of the river rushing by outside our window and the dining room was heavenly. "Lady on reception when arrived was lovely, the lady on saturday and sunday morning was not even friendly, like she didn't want to be there and when we asked for more bread as this had run out at breakfast, its like it was too much trouble for her and she was miserable. Location was good 5 mins to train/bus station and about 10 mins to the centre. Bathroom was dirty, room was basic but ok and window opened wide, which was good. The door do slam shut so this was noisy at night sometimes. Overall...
