The Arttus Ranch, in Douglas City, borders the Trinity River. You have your own private fishing spot on the river, just 5 minutes walk from the house. The house itself is quiet and private, lots of parking, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, with a front & back porch.
The night sky is fabulous. You can try your hand at gold panning on the river.
Shopping in Weaverville is easy, just a 12 minute drive, you can check out the local history museum and the Joss House, the oldest Chinese temple in the US.
Lewiston Lake is about 20 minutes away ; one can rent kayaks, party boats, or a guided fishing tour.
