"The rural setting was perfect - so peaceful - just what we needed. A soaring buzzard and a few tiny lizards in the garden were the only regular visitors 😂!! We loved the house and it was very well equipped, especially in the kitchen with lots of thoughtful touches. The pool is fabulous - a really good size. It took about 7 hours from Caen (will fly to Bergerac next time) The farmhouse was beautiful, clean and spacious. Comfy beds, well-catered kitchen, good WiFi. "This is a charming, up to date gite in an ideal location, 3 km from Eymet, a wonderful small village in Dordogne. It is hard to get a sense of just how peaceful the location is from the photos, but we greatly enjoyed our stay. Michael and Donna were great hosts. I only wish we could have stayed longer than the 6 nights we were there. "

"Karen’s Le Chouettes is a lovely rural property that was perfect for our family. We stayed in the cottage and we found it so well laid out with plenty of privacy for everyone but many common areas to enjoy each others company. We had a few days in April where the kids were able to enjoy the pool. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of top quality. Plenty of thick towels were also provided.
