"First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. Gratefully."

"This hotel was awesome. We were only here one night on a trip through the Black Forest, but it was great. It's cute and quaint and quiet. "Shocking! No reception to check you in despite it being 3pm, envelope left on stairs with room number! Breakfast was a joke, cereal, few bread buns and a menu offer to cook an egg and that was it! Didn’t even have a toaster! Room was ok but we were on top floor and having to carry cases up 3sets of stairs to the top floor wasn’t ideal! Bathroom was so small the door barely closed with sink and toilet. Bed was good though!"

"Above average breakfast and friendly staff. Overall quiet Parking is a challenge, many areas in this non-smoking hotel have a strong smoking smell, overall dated. Flimsy shower curtain can transfer you bathroom into a swimming pool. In case you are wondering, no AC and open windows might provide a lot of information about your fellow hotel guests. To be fair, there was always some wellness program which I did not participate as well as special evening dinner events."
