"Awesome place to have a laid back stay in Phong Nha. We went in January and were the only ones in the hotel. Originally we had booked 2 bunks but when we arrived they put us in 2 private rooms. Not sure if it was a mixup or an upgrade but it was a nice change after a month sharing rooms. "

"Delicious food for dinner and breakfast. Such a peaceful relaxing stay with a great view. Wish we could have stayed longer. We had a spider in our room but that is expected with the location. "We stayed for one night at this hotel. For the price this hotel is everything you could ask for. It is close to the main bus pickup in phong nha. The rooms and service are good. "I stayed here for 1 night — arriving on the overnight bus from Hanoi at 4am but they immediately checked me in and showed me to my room, which I was very grateful for. This is a hostel —not a hotel. Their breakfast was good and the friendly staff was great. When I asked them if they could hook me up with a scooter and driver to take me to Paradise cave (and back), they did so within 15 minutes — and the driver took me through the park on a scenic tour to boot! "

"We stayed at Bamboo’s House as a stopover in Dong Hoi on our way to and from Phong Nha. We didn’t have high expectations--were just looking for a place to sleep and leave our stuff while we went to Nhat Le Beach. But, after enjoying Mr. Bamboo’s hospitality for two nights, I highly recommend Bamboo’s House if you visit Dong Hoi. We had a family room, which was large enough to comfortably accommodate two adults and two children with luggage. The A/C worked well, and the sheets and towels...
