The Oak Alley Plantation was fantastic. The staff at the Holiday Inn Express recommended a fantastic restaurant in downtown Donaldsonville. This restaurant served, by far, the best meal we had on out 2 week vacation.

"The breakfast lady was awesome. She kept the food full even until the last moment it was opened. The hot water on the third floor specifically in room 317 was not consistent in having hot water. "Great location, convenient to all the attractions we planned to visit. Quite neighborhood, close to shopping mall. Home has plenty of room to accommodate 6 people even though we only had 4 to our group. Bill was great to help with all of the booking and information, would use the home again"

We stayed in Donaldsonville because of ease of access to the River Road to sight see and tour the plantations. Had a blast!!!

The area is under developed. The pizza hut doesnt deliver. They only thing to do there is leave.
