Arrived on an early morning flight so asked for early check in if possible. Guy at the desk stated we would have to pay another £200 so i said it was ok and we would wait it out until 3pm. Then he advised there was a room available but not what we paid for (city view instead of sea view) that he would do free of charge but if we took it we couldn’t move again even though we weren’t getting what we booked. Booking was for 3 people but room was really only able to accommodate 2. We ended up rearranging the room and putting the 2 twin beds together so everyone could fit. Later told by reception staff this is a problem when booking through third party sites. Half way through the trip we complained to another member of staff who was really good and agreed to change us to the seaview room we had booked. She upgraded us to a suite and included an additional bed. We were told it would be ready in 10 minutes so ran up to repack but in actual fact it took over 2 hours and we missed an excursion we had booked as a result. Overall the hotel is ok. Majority of staff are lovely and breakfast was good. Unfortunately no beach access, beach is 5-10 minutes away and you need to pay a fee to use it. Pool is an indoor pool. In terms of value for money we could have booked one of the 5star hotels across the road for only a few pounds more and had private beach/outdoor pool access. (Hilton/four seasons/sheraton etc). We had family staying at the hilton and facilities there were much better.
