"We hadn’t appreciated what a gorgeous location this property was in. The view from the front of the cottage over the reservoir is gorgeous, and a first floor reading nook is so cosy and gives the feeling of being by the sea side! The property is really tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home from home. The check in process was really smooth and easy to understand. The weather during our visit was terrible but we would love to come back again with better weather to take advantage of all...

Three local pubs but didn’t serve the food and unfortunately the fish and chip shot is closed until early January so we had to buy some food from the CooP. Parking is tricky unless you have a really small car but we’ve managed to park not far from the property and we could walk to places locally. "We’ve stayed in the other property and that seemed to be abit more updated than this one. It advertised as having internet but as property is so remote and thick cottage stone we couldn’t get any internet. Also kitchen area may be needs some updating. All in all had a lovely time. "

"We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend."

"Acer Cottage is ideally situated for exploring the area. Tideswell is peaceful yet very well served with essential services. It was a treat to find the Merchant’s Yard just steps away and the bakery was great too. The cottage itself was equipped and furnished to a high level and communication before arrival was excellent. Couldn't get a signal mobile or wifi in the room and couldn't work out how to turn off the air condition which kept me awake all night. However that aside would stay again. Lovely looking. Well appointed. Easy access and good food and reception cant do enough. I didnt get the chance to use the spa andvpool but we ould certainly come back and will try it on that occasion. Great dinner and breakfast and very clean"
