"Uniform of staff unprofessional, look like someone ready for the gym or had walked in off the street. Problematic check in, 3 attempts to resolve. The check in looked like something from a budget hotel! Given a small dark double room on arrival, where you could only access the bed from one side. Lighting was terrible. Relocated once team member had located manager who must have been on a cigarette break as that’s all I could smell. Finally given another room which was okay but still wouldn’t say...

"We stayed just one night unfortunately for us there was no food due to an issue with gas supply but managed to get something to eat later in the village..we were given a slightly better room with a spa bath due to our room having faulty lights,the service and prices on par with most other places around £5 a pint the bed was very comfortable but some road noise during the night as people seem to move around in the very early hours but overall staff were very helpful..."

The welcome is lovely, the room was excellent and fairly large compared to say the chain hotels, everything you could wish for provided - kettle, water etc….Food is really good and very large portions so beware you need to be hungry especially at breakfast and not just the “Full breakfast”. "Beautifully renovated property with a lot of thought into what guests might need whilst there. Spacious bedrooms, lovely cosy lounge and gorgeous kitchen space. Even managed to try the hot tub in the rain! Seemed pricey for the location, but having stayed in the property was worth the extra. We’ll definitely return next time we visit family back home."
