Apartment not ready to rent
The key collection system is extremely difficult, and after a long journey, unacceptable. Also the key return system. The request to haul your laundry across town to the office with the key, on return is insulating. How much did I pay?
The apartment was not clean. There was a lot of hair in the floor which was also gritty. We felt the need to vacuum AND mop the floors before unpacking and we really aren't obsessed with cleanliness. The apartment was stuffed with the owners items. There was, literally, no cupboard or shelf space available for our things and we took at least an hour to create storage for ourselves. We had to make up the bed with a baffling array of gigantic duvet covers and two small duvets. I hope never to be expected to make a bed again in an apartment which was as expensive as this.
It is clear that the owner considers his needs to be primary, and the agent considers that the only acceptable system is one where they minimize their efforts whilst the customer does ALL the work.
We will not use Interhome again, and will ensure we use a firm that puts the customers needs ahead of its own
