"We had a nice stay at Bawelsberger Hof, but only due the efforts of the receptionist who also doubled as the bar staff, the waitress at dinner AND took payments for the room. This had a knock on effect as when we were waiting to place our order for dinner, she was pouring drinks for another table. When we waited at the bar to be served drinks, she was on the phone with a client........you get the picture, can't be in two places at once. "We thought we were going to stay in Losheim, but instead, our FeWo was in Scheiden, a town 5 km. away. Once we got used to having to drive to Losheim for our groceries, it was OK. The apartment was spacious and we were quite comfortable there. The area was very rural, with bike and walking paths throughout. One could actually see the night sky from the bathroom skylight! It was easy to get to neighboring towns, such as Mettlach and Trier, from where we were. Our hosts were friendly and helpful."
