Perfect location and amazing views!
The views were amazing, the location was perfect and John (owner) was wonderful! He even offered to take us to the grocery store shortly after we arrived. Not to mention delicious food at The Flame restaurant (John runs) connected to the home was perfect after a long day of traveling or sight seeing.

John was a wonderful host and very helpful. The house is in a beautiful location right on the water. The bus stop across the street was very convenient. The only complaint is that the house needs some TLC. Some light bulbs were out. There was some rust on appliances, in the bathrooms and on the outdoor furniture.

Fantastic location!!
This house is right on the water and an easy bus ride to anywhere on the island!!! The host John lives on the property and is a pleasure to deal with and talk to. He was very receptive to the few needs we had. The view and sunsets were incredible!!! Would highly recommend this property and we will be back to stay in the future!!!

You can not beat the location of this property. We loved being on the water and were out snorkeling almost every day. The views of the water were incredible. Close to Flatts Village. Keep in mind that this is a traditional Bermudian home, not modern but spaceous, clean and pleasantly decorated. Owner is very kind and tried his best to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Phenomenal location in a big house
You can walk down a few stairs and get into the crystal-clear water and see a ton of sea life only feet from the front door. Bring your snorkeling gear. There are bus stops right by the house and an incredibly tasty restaurant literally next door, so the location is pretty convenient. It's in a quiet area, but it's not far from Hamilton. There's a full kitchen, laundry, 3 big bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The house needs a *little* work outside, but John the owner knows this and is working on a ton of stuff. Great for a small group of people. Eat in the large dining room, outside on the porch overlooking the water - your choice!

Wonderful Stay for Cup Match!
My 4 friends and I really enjoyed our stay in Bermuda for Cup Match. The home is centrally located on the island, making it easy to access all of our activities. Jennifer and Greg were great hosts! Any time we needed a taxi, we let Jennifer know in advance and it was always waiting for us (even during a busy holiday weekend!) Amazing views right on the water, and we often would take the stairs down to jump in the water for a quick swim. We appreciate their hospitality, and look forward to our next trip back to Bermuda!

Perfect Spot and Wonderful Host
I rarely take time to leave reviews, but have to for Jen's great house. The location is amazing - literally water side with steps directly down to the water and a great spot for swimming and snorkeling that you have all to yourself. Jen was the most amazing host - there whenever we needed anything, taking us to the store multiple time and cooking great food at her restaurant. Plus just as warm and friendly as can be. Stay away from the crowds and cruise ship people and stay here - a beautiful spot all to yourselves with the amazing Jen to greet you with a hug and make sure your stay is wonderful. We miss it already.

Very Comfortable home on the water
The 3 bedroom house on the water was wonderful. We loved the view of the ocean from the living and dining room. There is a table outside on the balcony where we enjoyed having coffee and breakfast. The owner, Jen, is very friendly and helpful. Because we were arriving on Christmas she offered to buy some groceries for us to tide us over. The house is on the number 10 and 11 bus line. The ride to Hamilton is about 10 minutes. Going the other way, you can visit St. George. The house is big enough for 2 couples or a family with 2-3 children. I highly recommend this property and would stay there again. Thanks Jen for your hospitality!

Warm hospitality, gorgeous setting and relaxation
Just returned from a wonderful 6 day vacation at Jennifer and Greg's lovely house. My husband and I wanted to find a place to take our mothers that would be homey, comfortable, easy for them to navigate (one is 92, can walk very short distances and uses a cane) as well as on the water and gorgeous. A tall order but Jennifer and Greg and their beautiful home delivered that and more. Other reviews have spoken of the wonderful features of the house, and the hosts' amazing hospitality and Jennifer's cooking (delicious! - we had two excellent dinners on our deck, thanks to her) - and I ditto all of that. They went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible - including inviting us to share in their holiday festivities. All around big thumbs up!!

Beautiful accommodations!
I missed the view of this place as soon as I got in the taxi to take me to the airport! The view by itself was worth every penny. The house was nice - the pictures do not do it justice! Jen was awesome - she set up taxi rides to and from the airport for us, gave us a ride to the city, and helped with suggestions on things to do and how to get there. We'd definitely stay again! For the next traveler I'd suggest bringing some of your own essentials. Prices in Bermuda are steep, so bring along soap, dishwasher detergent, etc. that aren't included with your rental. Also, if you plan on cooking bring what you can as well! Pancake mix, spaghetti noodles, rice, and dry snacks are all things you could pack pretty easily and enjoy during your stay without having to pay 3x what you may be used to.

Beautiful, comfortable and cozy property perfectly situated for exploring Bermuda
We loved visiting Bermuda! Jennifer and Greg's property at Where the Waters Walk is situated mid-island with bus stops very close by (one is right across the street). The house is designed to let the outside in so wherever you look, you see the ocean. There is a comfortable porch area to eat at while watching the ferry (and cruise ships) cross in front of you. Jennifer and Greg went out of their way to help us have the best vacation; giving us a ride to the grocery store the day we arrived and connecting us with a good taxi service to get to and from the airport (which is about 15 minutes away). We also ate several meals at their attached cafe which was a nice thing to have available after a long day of beaching or sightseeing. The property is quiet and secure. We were 4 women and we felt comfortable there. I have already recommended this property to someone else and we only left yesterday! Thanks, Jennifer and Greg, for being such great hosts!

Bermuda vacation
Nice vacation. Home was clean. It is older and needs some work. Roof in dining room leaked during heavy rain two days. Air conditioner I. Upstairs bedroom and living room did not work. I was also disappointed because the ladder shown in the listing to get out of the water by the rocks after snorkeling is no longer there. This, along with rough weather on some days, made it impossible for us to snorkel on the property and we had really looked forward to that. We also had a rat run past us on the patio one evening, which made us make sure all doors were closed when we were on the patio after that. John, the property owner, is very nice. Bermuda is amazing and the property, on the whole, worked well for us. We rented Tazzaris, small electric cars, which made accessing all parts of the island easy. It was a fun vacation.

Beautiful views, gracious hosts
We returned home this afternoon following a 5 night stay at this home. The owners, Jennifer and Greg were around and available, but not at all intrusive. They made us and our two young sons feel at home the moment we arrived. Jen always had extra bread for the boys to feed the large schools of fish below. We fished (and caught a little) from the rocks below. The water was a little rough for my 4 and 6 year old sons to snorkel, but I did and the coral and fish were worth the effort. The kids could easily get from the house down to the rocks on the water. We saw turtles from the patio and enjoyed watching the cruise ships pass by. Stunning views of each end of the island. Was so nice to have someone around to offer advice on our daily adventures, a few days Jen even gave us rides where we wanted to go. We walked the railway trail to Gibbots Bay and the other direction to the golf course. The trail runs just up the hill from the house. The bus stop is right there as well and we were always able to quickly catch a cab as needed. Great views, great hosts. Very much worth the visit.

A week in Paradise!
Where the Waters Walk is a little piece of heaven. Six of us stayed here for a week. The home is just as described and comfortably housed the six of us during our stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and the huge picture window in the living room brought us beautiful sunsets over the water. Jen and Greg are the best hosts we have ever experienced in a VRBO. From the first communication they went above and beyond. Setting up our taxi from the airport, making dinner reservations once we arrived, sending over fishcakes and hot cross buns for a traditional Bermuda easter feast, serenading us for our birthdays and even providing us with entertainment during dinner when we ate in. The whole family is very musical and have talent! Jen and Greg even brought two of us to their Church's Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday. The location is great. The home is right on the water and there are flat rocks to sun, fish, or swim off. Bring water shoes - they are necessary!! There is a walking trail just across the street and up a hill. There is a bus stop close by but we found taxis to be our best mode of transportation. They are plentiful. There is much to see and do in Bermuda. Hamilton has great restaurants and shops, the beaches are fantastic (our favorites were Horseshoe and Warwick Long Beach). I would highly recommend this as a vacation destination and it is just a lovely home to stay in. All six of us were in agreement - one of the best vacations we have ever had!! Thank you Jen, Greg and John for making us feel at home.

Could be great!
For our group (2 couples) this property fell short in many respects, although to be honest, we enjoyed our stay. I was surprised that the owner (John) did not initially acknowledge our booking with a greeting. The location was fine for us. We had independent mobility with mopeds but also sometimes took the bus (bus stop very near). The restaurant that is located on the property is closed. On arrival, there was no power to the upstairs rooms but I found the circuit breaker and reset it. It tripped several more times during our stay. Numerous electrical outlets and light switches did not function and light bulbs were burned out. We did a major clean of the kitchen. The dishwasher isn't secured into the cabinetry and there was no detergent. The first meal we cooked was problematic. Here are items missing from the kitchen: a good sharp knife, a potato peeler, a wooden spoon, non-stick pan, measuring cup, dish soap. A toaster!! There were no hand towels and no bath mats. The upstairs tub/shower is treacherous and needs some form of slip mitigation. In short, the place is poorly maintained and poorly equipped. You would have to be brave to try to access the ocean from out front. Some would be bothered by the traffic noise. The view and the proximity to the ocean, however, is great. So is the privacy. With the addition of taxes and junk fees, the nightly cost of about $660 is dear. With some effort, this property could be really great!

A delightful North Shore experience
My wife and I stayed here for the first portion of our trip, celebrating our wedding anniversary. We first were on the North Shore and then the South Shore. Mopeds are absolutely essential in our opinion, if you can safely drive them, for any trip to Bermuda (we saw the entire Island in one week with plenty of time at the beach and to enjoy delicious dinners!). We checked into our room, had a Moped delivered, and made it into Hamilton (FYI Harbor night is Wednesday night on Front Street!) within two hours of landing at the airport. The owners run a restaurant, the Flame, right on the property, which has an amazing view of sunsets and the northern waters. The food was some of the best we had during our whole trip, and we ate at some of the top rated restaurants (the Swizzle, Four Ways, Coconuts at the Reefs, and Frog and Onion). Shelly Bay beach is a short scoot away for easy access. The Cooper's Island Nature reserve beaches (very private - a must visit) and the historic town of St. George's are easily accessible from this location. We went to both later in the week and had to spend nearly 2 hours getting there from our South Shore location. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable and provided a pleasant location to sit back and read. The bedroom is simple and clean. The owners are delightful people and were generous to give us advice on how to navigate the island. Much of our planning happened once we arrived after talking to the owners and some other Bermudians eating at the restaurant. I cannot emphasize enough the welcoming nature of the owners, their generosity and hospitality. This place will be different than some South Shore properties, in that there are more close beaches to choose from on the Southern Shore, but with the right mode of transportation many of the South Shore beaches are actually accesible from this location, especially the beaches in Smith's and Paget Parishes. You might want to make it over to the East end of the island, so take the Ferry from Hamilton (you can ride the moped right on it). If you are looking for a North Shore property for a good rate, we can endorse this one based on our lovely experience.

Perfect location midway between Hamilton and St. George; this is where you want to be!
We spent a week here April 3-10 2018. The house is large, immaculate and well-appointed in every respect. There were four us us and it could easily accommodate 6. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are clean fresh. Full kitchen and laundry room add to the "at home" feeling. It is right on the bright blue waters of Bermuda and the bus stop is literally across the street. There is some street noise from the ubiquitous motor bikes, but the incredible view, convenient location and comfort more than make up for this. Besides a large dining room and living room there is an equally large covered porch overlooking the patio and water beyond and that's where you'll spend much of your relaxing/dining time. There are steps to the rocky beach and you can swim and snorkel right off the rocks. Fish are abundant and you can feed them from the patio. The patio area (not the private covered porch) is shared by guests who visit the attached Flame Restaurant but this is a BIG PLUS as you get to chat and interact with both tourists and residents and this make the experience all the more authentic. It is maybe 10 or 12 minutes to Hamilton and 15 to 20 to St. George, so you can get up and go even for short trips. Our hosts, Jennifer and Greg, are true Bermudians - cheerful, thoughtful and accommodating in every way. They arranged for our transport from the airport (Quinton Bean was there waiting for us- he's a great tour guide btw) and that made the process stress free. After check-in Jennifer drove us to the supermarket to pick up groceries and then to the transportation office to purchase bus passes. We had our first meal at the Flame and we can all recommend the fresh fish sandwich, a local favorite by all accounts. Throughout the week, Jennifer generously shared some treats from her kitchen, including a lasagna, dessert and fruit. Greg is equally gracious and fun to chat with and he is always puttering around taking care of this gorgeous property. There is some construction/improvement in progress (separate from the main accommodation) but it does not interfere with guests or the overall experience. When our taxi failed to appear for our return trip the airport, Greg stepped in and drove us there himself. Thoughtful service doesn't get any better than this. We feel that we have made new friends with Jennifer, Greg, their sons and other family members and when we return to Bermuda in a few years we will DEFINITELY stay here again.

Nice but very old and outside patio area needed cleaned up
Nice convenient property however the inside of the home needs updated! Furniture was old and saggy. Beds were not the most comfortable. I stripped the beds of all sheets, mattress cover and bedspread b/c all needed washed. The cleaner put the dirty mattress covers and bedspreads back on the beds. Home smelled bad. 2 roaches were running around the kitchen and saw a roach on the back patio. I did kill the roaches and I left one on a paper towel on the kitchen counter for the property manager to see. Coffee pot was dirty and the heat plate was caked with old coffee and grounds. Outside area in front and in back was dirty and messy. This could be an outstanding property with some "elbow grease" and new furnishing. This could be a 5 star property with some "elbow grease". A restaurant is opening on the side of the home which is attached. This will add a cooking smell to the property as well as patrons will be using the same back patio area as the ABNB guests. The ABNB online site stated that there were 2 bicycles for use. We did not see these however we would not have used them. The roads on the entire island are too dangerous to ride a bicycle on.

We would DEFINITELY stay here again!!
First, just want to say how ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL this home is right off the ocean with amazing views not only from the outside, but also from the inside including the family room and every bedroom. It is conveniently located in the center of the island, so no matter what you plan for the day, you will not have that long of a trip there and back. The house is large and spacious, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable with fresh linens! John gave us the name of a taxi service owner named Mr. Bean to use from the airport. I was impressed by his professional reply to my email, including a formal letter, and a large vehicle for the ride. On our way from the airport, I called John who quickly answered and agreed to meet us at the house which was only about 15 minutes away. Upon arrival, John warmly greeted us and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, inlcuding extra towels, beach towels, and more blankets. He also noticed the last people that stayed there forgot to leave the keys so he went right out and came back with a different lock for the door and installed it with a new set of keys. What really impressed me even more was that he offerred to take us all to the grocery store, wait for us, and then drive us back so we had food and items we needed right away. Then he gave us some of his extra bus tickets he had so we could get to a few places before we bought our own weekly bus passes from the Hamilton Central Bus Station. All bus routes connect at one end from the Central Hamilton Bus Station. Bus stops are plentiful everywhere (and so close to house)... All pink poles head toward Hamilton, all blue poles head away from Hamilton. There were a few minor inconveniences, like circuit breakers flipping off and clothes drier not working. But I assume those will be fixed soon, so you might want to ask about it if that is a big deal for you. Also, the steps at the bottom to the ocean were washed away from one of the recent hurricanes so it was a little more work getting into the water, but still doable. We saw tons of beautiful fish, snails, and corals. The Rubis/Terceira's North Shore gas station across the street is such a convenience with food items and beverages (including wine & alcohol). The people working there were so friendly and helpful too. Overall, this house is so reasonably priced taking into consideration all the positives, the location, and an owner who is so generous and hospitable. Thank you John!!
