Felt Like A Quick Flip - Not Well Stocked - Room for Improvement
This felt to our whole crew of 7 like a house that was purchased as a quick flip to get it listed as a rental. It is a great space and has room for improvement, and I want to give this feedback in hopes that the host takes it into consideration to make future stays more comfortable. We've all stayed at several VRBO rentals (or the like) and had certain expectations/hopes of what would be there, and it was lacking in a lot of areas. The finishes photographed well but didn't really make sense in the space. All the rugs were annoying because they kept getting bunched up. Again - nice for pictures, not for daily use. Would be very annoyed if I had to live there. Kitchen: had silverware & set of dishes & cups, two frying pans & 1 big pot & a colander, some cooking utensils and that was it. Could use a cutting board, some big knives, vegetable peeler, corkscrew, more pots and pans, baking dishes, etc. Also did not have any kitchen towels or more paper towel, Would have been nice to have some basic things like oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, etc. Ice maker did not work - bag of ice was provided. Fridge handles were broken. Master bedroom: downstairs large heater gave us trouble and was set up on a box. Master bath did not have a door, which was very weird and inconvenient. Shower leaked (hope they put the right kind of drywall up because the wall was getting wet!). Vanity drawer pulls missing, no extra linens, bath towels were put away wet. Good family time, house was just ok.
