I called the day before to inform the hotel that the card I put for the reservation was lost, I cancelled it and got a new card, which I was going to pay with. The girl told me it’s ok it shows you’re paying at checkin just bring your card and you’ll be fine. I got there Wednesday at 2:30 only to find out my reservation was cancelled. The girl said it was because they processed my card, the one that was lost, and it was invalid. I told her I don’t know why they would do that when I’m supposed to pay at check in first of all and secondly I called to inform them about my card situation. She said that’s their policy and that they called me, which they didn’t. Then the manager told her to tell me I could get another room for $100 more than my original one. I told her no it’s not right I booked the room, called to inform the hotel about my card situation so I shouldn’t have to pay more. She talked to the manager again who said no the price stands at $100 more. I ended up leaving and booking at a different location 20 minutes away. Keep in mind I drove 4 1/2 hours and this is how I got treated. The manager never came out to talk to me. I even called today to talk to her, left a message and I still haven’t received a call back.
